Important Facts
- A medical exam is very important, to ensure that you are not
injured and have not contracted an STD.
- The sooner you talk to a support person, the sooner you will
recover from an assault.
- The SAS counselors will listen and support you, explain all
of your options in detail, and assist you at the hospital or in
making a report, etc.
- Remember: The assault was not your
fault. Also: What to do is always your choice.
- The best way to help a friend who was assaulted is to
listen, believe her/him, and don’t judge.

formal complaint.

options; formal--, informal--, and confidential--to you. He will
arrange to meet you wherever you are comfortable.
- Preserving evidence (from your clothing or your physical) is
important if you decide to make a complaint.
- You can also report the assault to the Albion Department of
