Albion—More
than Meets the Eye!
Albion is a vibrant community that draws its strength from the
exceptional relationship between the College and the local residents. A
diverse and creative population helps give the town its unique
atmosphere, from the friendly Festival of the Forks celebration each
fall to the bountiful “Men Who Cook” fundraiser for Citizens to Beautify
Albion—and hundreds of other events and festivities each year. And
Albion boasts small-town charm from its handsome Victorian homes, to its
charming red-brick main street, to the lovely Georgian buildings on the
Albion College quadrangle.

In browsing these pages, you will see that the arts abound in Albion,
with plays, dance, music concerts, art shows, classes, and studio
demonstrations on Albion College’s campus, in the public schools, and in
the community. Special lectures and unique classes are among the many
educational enrichments you will find. And if you’re a sports fan,
between the College, public schools, city recreation leagues, and area
minor league teams, there is bound to be a sporting event to suit your
athletic interests. Religious institutions, commerce, and industry also
play an important role in the life of the city. Albion area employers
range from manufacturers serving the automotive industry to high-tech
research and development firms.
In addition, Albion’s many parks and open spaces are sources of great
pride. But Albion would not be what it is today without its people. More
than anything, the Albion College community has a long-standing history
of joining Albion residents in working together for a variety of local
volunteer causes. Perhaps you will find one that interests you.

Thanks for looking around at Albion—more than meets the eye!
