Web Pages

The Albion College logo should appear on all pages of the College’s official Web site (covering all administrative divisions and academic departments/offices). The Web page template incorporating the logo and mirroring the graphic design of the College’s print communications must be used for this purpose. (Please see “Exceptions to Policies” for information on exemptions for student organizations and activities, personal Web pages, and academic course Web pages.)

Fixed Elements

Fixed elements appear on all official Albion College Web pages, and are established and centrally maintained by the Communications Office. As fixed elements, these global features cannot be changed.

Purple and gold are the Official Albion colors. In addition, green and light purple may be used sparingly as accent colors:

Large background areas of color are generally inappropriate because they have a distracting effect. Bright or neon colors are never appropriate on the Albion College Web site because they affect legibility.

Text

Text decorations, including underlines, bold, italics, and unnecessary coloring, should be kept to a minimum. Decoration should be used to enhance legibility, and allow for easy scanning of a page, and should not detract from the content of the page.
