Official LogoThe Albion College logo is the graphic identity mark of the institution. It has two parts, the shield icon and the wordmark, which should always appear together in a single unit as shown here.
For most purposes, the logo will be used as shown. However, some limited variations are possible. The logo is to be used in all external and internal communications in all media, and on collateral materials (signage, vehicles, clothing, and other merchandise and promotional goods, etc.), unless specifically exempted in this policy. When individuals are representing Albion College in an official capacity (e.g., on-campus presentations to visitors, off-campus professional conferences), they should use the logo in any of their communications, print or electronic. The Albion College logo has been developed to serve the needs of all administrative divisions and offices of the College. The use of logos or other graphics specific to an administrative or academic unit requires prior approval from the President’s Office. Should a unit-specific or event-specific identity mark be desired, a detailed proposal should first be submitted to the Communications Office for review; the Communications Office will then forward the proposal to the President’s Office for a final decision on approval. The logo is to be printed in the specified PMS colors—Pantone Matching System 269 (Purple) and 124 (Gold)—or in a color conversion of those PMS colors. It may also appear in black. DO NOT try to recreate this mark. The exact size, color, and placement of all the elements are not to be changed. Art for the logo can be acquired from the Communications Office.
Official Logo with Tagline The Albion College logo with the tagline “Liberal Arts at Work” (LAAW) may be used as a signature element in Admissions Office communications, and in other College communications as determined by the Communications Office. The logo should be printed in the specified PMS colors or in a color conversion of those PMS colors. The tagline should be printed in PMS 124 or equivalent.
Use of the College seal is restricted to official documents or activities of the institution. The seal may be used on communications for selected College ceremonial events or for other special purposes, as approved by the President’s Office. It is not to be used alone as a logo, nor is it to be used in conjunction with the current logo.
