To the Campus Community:Developed in 2004 at the request of the Board of Trustees and formally approved by the Administrative Council, Albion College's comprehensive visual identity program helps us build name recognition for Albion and enhance the College’s image. Administrative staff and faculty should use the graphic identity in all official communications, whether for internal or external audiences. This online manual provides an overview of the elements in our graphic identity system, as well as guidelines and visual examples to help everyone use this system in their communications. While a few groups are exempted under the policy, the graphic identity should appear in our communications as consistently and uniformly as possible, so that Albion is always represented in a way that is polished and professional. The Albion College logo should be the first thing people see when they visit our Web site, look through our literature, or visit our campus. Sarah Briggs, associate vice president for communications, is responsible for implementation and maintenance of the graphic identity program. The Communications Office stands ready to advise you on how to use the graphic identity system in communications designed to meet your particular needs and goals. This online manual also offers information that will help you in your planning. In the highly competitive environment in which we find ourselves today, we must clearly delineate those qualities that distinguish Albion from its peers. This graphic identity program is an integral component in that process.
