Scholarships

  1. Accounting Scholarship -- Accountemps and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) offer scholarships to all liberal arts degree holders wishing to pursue a CPA certificate

  3. American Bar Association Scholarship--a scholarship intended to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to attend law school 
  4. American Cancer Society -- exclusively for students from Michigan and Indiana with a history of cancer

  6. Anderson Entrepreneurial Center - This award is given to a student who operated a business while enrolled in at least 12 credits at a college or university within the designated region for the past year.
  7. Asian Pacific American Heritage Council National Scholarship Program -- for people of Asian Pacific heritage.
  8. Asian Pacific American Leadership Conference -- scholarships awarded to students of Asian Pacific background for internships in Washington DC and/or those interested in public policy.
  9. East-West Center Education Program - Provides master's and doctoral funding for graduate students from Asia, the Pacific, and the U.S. to participate in educational and research programs at the University of Hawaii.
  10. BBDO Minority Education and Training Fund -- for minorities, women, and individuals protected under the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act who have an interest in the field of advertising. Contact denise.champine@bbdodetroit.com
  11. Comerica Bank -- six $2,500 scholarships available for females and minorities who are majoring in business and willing to do an internship with Comerica.
  12. Consumers Energy -- seven $1000 scholarships available, with preference given to women and minority students attending MCF member institutions.

  14. Davies - Jackson Scholarship -- for students from families with modest economic backgrounds and who are among the first in their families to graduate from college, study to be completed at Cambridge University.

  16. Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Essay Contest -- full time juniors and seniors are encouraged to compete for awards by writing a thought-provoking personal essay of three to four thousand words

  18. Fulbright Graduate Grant -- grants for graduate study or research abroad in academic fields and for professional training in the creative and performing arts
  19. General Motors Hispanic Scholarship Program of Michigan -- up to sixteen $2,500 scholarships for Hispanic students who are majoring in business or engineering.

  21. Institute for Humane Studies Film and Fiction --scholarships of up to $10,000 to support the study of filmmaking and creative writing.
  22. JW Saxe Memorial Fund -- awarded to undergraduate or graduate students working in public service to allow them to take a low- or no-pay job or internship for a term

  24. Louisville Seminary Merit Scholarship Award-- for students planning on attending this seminary
  25. Marshall Scholarships -- finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the UK in a system of higher education recognized for its excellence.
  26. MECH- anyone pursuing undergraduate or vocational studies related to healthcare Facility Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Biomedical or Maintenance.
  27. Monterey Institute of International Studies Merit Scholarship -- half-tuition, two year scholarships for students attending the institute
  28. Morley Journalism Competition -- awards for the best newspaper or magazine articles inspired by liberty.
  29. National Association of Black Accountants -- available to minority college students (full or part time) and minority high school students with a concentration in accounting or finance
  30. The National Institutes of Health -- for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds that are committed to pursuing careers in health research or basic biomedical science research
  31. National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Messenger -- Anderson Scholarship Program in Journalism -- awarded to students pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited four year college or university
  32. Navy Officer Health Professions Scholarship Program -- full tuition for four years awarded to students enrolled in schools of medicine or osteopathy in an AMA or AOA accredited school
  33. NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and Internship Programs-- scholarships and internship opportunites for college graduates who plan to pursue postgraduate studies in a sports related program
  34. Office of Loan Repayment and Scholarships -  biomedical health researchers - students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  35. Rhodes Scholarship for Teachers - for teachers in New York City
  36. The Stonisch Foundation Graduate Scholarship-- five $1,000 scholarships for students pursuing an MBA in a business-related area and of Polish, German, or Czech descent
  37. United Methodist Publishing House -- for racial and ethnic students preparing for careers in religious publications.
