WEB EVENT CALENDAR

The Albion College Events Calendar can be found along with other departmental/program calendars on the Albion College website. This is an excellent resource to find out what is happening in the way of events on campus and is also a tool to assist in the planning and development of future programs. The Events Calendar is managed by the Assistant Director of the Kellogg Center, Karen Hiatt.

The Campus Web Calendar is only as good as the willingness of the College community to use it and submit items. Any event in which complete information is provided will be posted to the Web Calendar. If the event you are wanting to book is scheduled at the same time another major event is occurring, you will be contacted and an attempt will be made to find a suitable date, time and place for your program. Karen Hiatt, Assistant Director, and Tracey Howard, Assistant Dean, will work to resolve any conflicts which arise. Please keep in mind, Albion College’s policy towards programming is non-exclusive and multiple programs occurring at the same time do frequently occur. The Kellogg Center staff will attempt to do it’s best to identify those programs that might be in conflict and/or might compete for the same audience.

It is important to note that not all room reservations for events are automatically added to the events calendar. Many times reservations for spaces are made before specific program details are available or they are events that are not of interest to the general public such as a group or committee meeting.

It is important to submit your events to the calendar even it you do not need to reserve room space. For the best interest of all community members, please submit your items to the calendar and let us all work together on managing events and activities on campus and keep overlapping/competing programs to a minimum.

To Submit:

Submitting an item when room reservation is need

When making a room reservation, supply the Assistant Director of the Kellogg Center with all of the necessary information which includes date, start/stop times, title of event, name and contact (e-mail address of sponsoring individual) and a brief description of the event.

  • Phone Karen Hiatt at extension 0336

  • Or e-mail request to khiatt@albion.edu

  • Best time to call, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

The more information you can provide such as ticket price or details of the event, the better. If you do not supply the above information when making a reservation, we cannot list the item on the web calendar. If you do want your item to appear on the calendar, but do not have all of the information when making a room reservation, you will need to contact the Assistant Director of the Kellogg Center when that information becomes available.

Submitting an item when room reservation is not needed.

Please fill out the event submission web form with all of the required information and it will automatically be sent to the Assistant Director of the Kellogg Center for processing. This option will be used primarily by those individuals who oversee their own event spaces.
