Amnesty International
Amnesty International’s mission is to undertake research and action focused on preventing and ending grave abuses of the rights to physical and mental integrity, freedom of conscience and expression, and freedom from discrimination, within the context of its work to promote all human rights. Amnesty International is independent of any government, political ideology or religious creed. It does not support or oppose any government or political system, nor does it support or oppose the views of the victims whose rights it seeks to protect. It is concerned solely with the impartial protection of human rights.  The purpose of The Albion College Chapter of Amnesty International is to raise community awareness of human rights violations around the world. By providing information about human rights, The Albion College Chapter of Amnesty International aims to encourage community activism in helping to put an end to these violations. Actions by which information regarding human rights violations will be provided to the community will be, but are not limited to, letter writing campaigns, informational presentations, debates, teach-ins, and guest speakers. In addition, The Albion College Chapter of Amnesty International will operate under the guidelines and advice of Amnesty International USA.

College Democrats The purpose of the College Democrats is to represent and foster the views of the Democratic Party at Albion College. As a political organization we help college students become involved in political issues and elections through campaigning, sponsoring speakers, and attending regional, state, and national political functions. The Democrats provide information to the campus regarding the Democratic platform and its candidates for office. The group also works on voter registration drives, increasing voter turnout, and other citizenship activities regardless of political affiliation.

College Republicans
College Republicans promote an awareness of political issues from a conservative point of view. This is accomplished through campaign work for Republican candidates, guest speakers, and group discussions. The organization offers interested students opportunities for leadership and connections with state and local GOP officials.

Ecological Awareness Club
Ecological Awareness Club (Eco-club) is dedicated to promoting education and awareness of environmental concerns within the Albion community. Activities include expanding campus-wide recycling, sponsoring environmental programs and speakers and promoting changes to campus policy.   The main goal is to disseminate information and encourage activism.

Libertarians
The purpose of the Albion College Libertarians is to foster the formulation and exchange of ideas that promote individual liberty and freedom.  This organization may aid in functions or programs designated by the Libertarian Party.

Peace Action

Albion College Peace Action is an affiliate of the Student Peace Action Network (SPAN), the student chapter of the national grassroots organization Peace Action.  Peace Action shall seek to promote peace, justice, and social responsibility in the community, nationally, and globally, through the exercise of the freedoms of assembly, conscience, and speech.  We shall seek to generate positive change through education (including but not limited to sponsoring speakers, film series, forums, peace-related conferences/trips, and so forth) and direct action (including but not limited to demonstrations, teach-ins, letter-writing campaigns, petitions, and so forth)

Socialists Educational Forum
Socialists Educational Forum provides an alternative and critical perspective on political and social justice issues.  The political perspectives include: Marxism, Socialism, and Anarchism in relation to topics such as anti-globalization and anti-capitalism.  This organization escapes the Lockian ideology of liberal versus conservative and seeks to create a critical consciousness of political diversity on campus.
