Academic Clubs and Organizations

Accounting Society
The Accounting Society meets regularly to help students prepare for a career in accounting, as well as to identify and discuss topical issues in the field. The Accounting Society also holds an annual Spring Banquet, inviting representatives from all known accounting firms in Michigan. The goal is to allow the students to begin networking for possible internships and/or job opportunities.

Art Club
The Art Club is an organization devoted to exploring the many possibilities of the visual arts. Regular events are held for participants to create art as well as attend lectures by various artists invited to Albion for the purpose of enriching our college community. Each semester Art Club takes off-campus trips to art galleries, museums, and other related events.

Astronomy Club
The Astronomy Club provides students interested in astronomy with a wide variety of fun and educational activities such as star parties, dome events (using the telescope in the Observatory), movie nights, trips to other observatories and to planetariums, and guest speakers. No background or education in astronomy is necessary for membership and all are welcome to join!

Chemistry Club
Chemistry Club is established to further enhance the education of chemistry by presenting information about new developments and current issues in chemistry and to inform students about careers available to students with Chemistry degrees.

Delta Sigma Pi
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.

English Club
English Club members are interested in the study of English, although it is not necessarily their major. Throughout the year, the club coordinates fundraisers, trips to poetry slams and other literary events, programs at the Albion Public Library for children, open mic nights, brings in lecturers and visiting poets and writers, and assists the English professors in curriculum and their own endeavors.

Geology Club

Geology Club's purpose is to unite students interested in geology. Club activities include sponsoring field trips, visiting local elementary schools for educational outreach, hosting speakers, and hosting social events for club members.

Investment Club

The Investment Club is devoted to learning about stock selection methods while having a little fun. They are members of the National Association of Investors Corporation (NAIC). Using NAIC stock selection method, the club buys and sells real stocks. All profits are "rolled over" to establish a scholarship fund for Economics and Management majors. Besides meetings, the club takes three trips to NAIC seminars and presentations.

Model United Nations

Model UN at Albion College is open to all students. Model UN studies important issues in international affairs and applies them during several simulations with other colleges and universities. In recent years, Model UN has gone to Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Philadelphia and Athens.

Pre-Dental Club
The purpose of the Pre-Dental Club is to provide programs that educate members about the field of dentistry and to allow members to network with each other regarding the dental school application process.

Pre-Law Society

Pre-Law Society was started in an effort to create an accessible network of resources for Albion students interested in attending law school. Some of the specific goals of the Pre-Law Society are bringing law school representatives to Albion College, enhancing the publicity, organization, and student participation in these visits, improving the availability of LSAT preparation resources on campus, and helping students with the law school application process.

Pre-Vet Club
The purpose of the Albion College Pre-Veterinary Club is to provide programs that educate members about the field of veterinary medicine and to allow members to network with each other regarding the school of veterinary medicine application process.
