Things to Remember
The average size of residence
hall rooms is approximately 11' x 14' (rooms vary in size and shape). Refer
to the
Residential Life webpage for more information regarding room size. Each
double room is equipped with two beds, two desks & chairs, closets, chest of
drawers, and mini blinds. All college provided furniture must remain in
the student's room for the duration of the academic year.
Mattresses are 80 inches long,
so fitted sheets must be extra long to insure proper fit. The use of nails,
double-sided foam tape, or anything that would produce holes or cause damage
to the room are not permitted.
Lofts
are only permitted in fraternities
and must conform to the loft policy and an
agreement must be submitted to the Residential Life Office. Loft guidelines
and agreement forms are available in the Office of Residential Life.
Agreement forms must be turned in prior to assembling the loft.
Due to the intense heat
generated by halogen light bulbs, HALOGEN lamps are NOT
permitted in any student residence.
