Homecoming –
September 26-28, 2008
Join us for Purple and Gold
on the Road at Homecoming 2008! This year we will be hosting a photo
contest celebrating the "Albion Experiences" of our alumni, students,
and faculty/staff. Photos will be on display over Homecoming weekend.
And this year’s Homecoming
proves to be an activity-packed weekend as
usual. On
Friday, September 26, 2008 join us for the Briton Classic golf tournament in
the morning. In the afternoon, the Ford Institute will hold a 30th
anniversary reception. Friday evening brings a variety of options. We
will be hosting our Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at Baldwin Hall and
a Dean Hall Reunion at Bellemont Manor. Also, noted political humorist
Jim Morris, sponsored by the Ford Institute, will perform in Albion's
Goodrich Chapel. Morris' bipartisan political satire is sure to make for
an entertaining evening.
Homecoming activities
continue on Saturday morning with the Alumni Awards Ceremony where five
alumni will be honored this year, including our first alumni couple. The
All-Class Picnic Luncheon begins at noon; then Albion battles Central
College (Iowa) on
the gridiron. Stop by Bobbitt Visual Arts
Center to take in the extraordinary work of faculty emeritus, Douglas
Goering. And make sure to take time to tour the newly
renovated and expanded Science Complex
and to stop by the open houses that our
academic departments and student organizations are hosting. The day is
also filled with reunions for class years ending in "3" or "8."
On Sunday, complete your Homecoming experience by attending the Albion
College Music Department’s traditional Homecoming concert. We
hope you and your parents can attend Homecoming 2008! Read more about

Family Day, November 8, 2008
A special
day
is being planned for you and your family! Enjoy spending time with each
other while attending many informal events on Saturday. Spend Saturday
learning more about campus and Albion’s programs, enjoying an Albion
football game in the afternoon, and meeting other Albion families at the
Saturday evening gala dinner. In addition, there will be a special
performance by mentalist Christopher Carter at 8 p.m. in the
Kellogg Center “Stack” to close out this fun-filled day.
