Purpose
The purpose of this Bulletin Board is to provide a forum for Albion College students, faculty and staff to post information of general interest to all campus community members in the form of Announcements, For Sale, and Lost & Found items.

How to post messages
Messages can be posted to the Bulletin Board from within the Albion College GroupWise system by sending a mail message to the GroupWise account associated with a particular folder.  Because messages posted to the Bulletin Board are only allowed from current Albion College Faculty, Staff, and Students, messages are not allowed to be posted from outside the Albion College GroupWise system.  This means that you must use either the GroupWise client or GroupWise Web Access (http://wwwmail.albion.edu) to post messages.  Finally, items posted to the Bulletin Board will be deleted automatically every 30-45 days.

How to view Bulletin Board messages
Messages on the Bulletin Board can be viewed in several ways.  These include Proxy Access within the GroupWise client, shared folders in your personal GroupWise account, and via the web.  Each method is described in more detail below.

GroupWise Shared Folders
Each semester, Information Technology Staff will share the current Bulletin Board folders with every GroupWise account.  By accepting these shared folders, you will have a link placed in your GroupWise account to the Bulletin Board folders as shown on the right.  This will allow you to view Bulletin Board items from the convenience of your normal GroupWise account (including GroupWise Web Access available at http://wwwmail.albion.edu).
 
GroupWise Proxy Access
   To Proxy the Albion College Bulletin Board, log in to your Albion College GroupWise e-mail account using the GroupWise Client.  In the lower left-hand corner of the screen, locate the proxy icon (looks like a person from the chest up). Click the proxy icon once, a fly out menu will appear as shown in the graphic on the left.  The first time you do this, select Proxy and enter BulletinBoard in the dialog box that will appear. In the future, BulletinBoard should be listed in the fly out menu and you can simply select it. After doing so, you will be taken to the BulletinBoard account with permission to view the contents of the folders in this account.
 
Web Interface
To access the web interface to the Bulletin Board system simply go to http://www.albion.edu/bulletinboard. The web interface should be viewable from any computer connected to the Internet running a web browser.  However, this interface only allows one to view the Bulletin Board and is the least efficient and least supported method of accessing the Bulletin Board systems.  Updates to the web interface will be few.
