Choir Trip to England 2005
- Shakespeare's Birthplace and Warwick Castle
After our weekend in London, we headed to Stratford-upon-Avon and toured Shakespeare’s Birthplace. The drama students and literature fans among us were especially thrilled to visit this site. We departed the next morning for Warwick Castle and Shrewsbury. The countryside was absolutely breathtaking. We learned the golden fields everywhere were rapeseed plants. Warwick Castle is a magnificent castle. One of the highlights was the 573 stairs that we braved to view the surrounding town and countryside. Along with a number of period exhibits, there was a also a peacock garden and beautiful rose garden that had been dedicated by Princess Diana. Click the photos for a larger view.
