As we drove along the country roads, the ancient town of Bath appeared in the valley below us. We spent the morning visiting the ancient Roman Baths which are nearly 2000 years old. The choir then gave a lunchtime performance in the stunning Bath Abbey. The acoustics were more than anyone could have hoped for. It was here that we were told by the Rector of the Abbey, "We have a lot of choirs in this space, and this may be the best that it has sounded in centuries." Part of the afternoon was spent in small groups with Blue Badge Guides giving us walking tours of the town.
