The Staff of Operation Bentley
The
Staff of Operation Bentley are some of the most
highly regarded instructors and administrators
at Albion. They are very active in
teaching, research, and activities both on and
off campus. Ten Albion College students are
selected each year to serve as Staff Assistants;
they are often top scholars in their
departments, leaders on campus, and active in
government or politics.

Rose Ph.D.
Operation Bentley
Co-Director
Dr. Rose earned his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in
1999. He received his B.A. and his J.D. from the University of Toledo in 1981
and 1988, respectively. Before coming to Albion, Dr. Rose practiced law in the
state of Florida. He is an Associate Professor in Albion College's Department of

Al Pheley, Ph.D.
Operation Bentley Co-Director
Dr. Al Pheley earned his B.A. from Indiana
University in 1982; his M.S. from North Dakota State University in 1984; and his
Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1990. From 1998 to 2002, Dr. Pheley
was an Associate Professor at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine
and the Director for Clinical Research Development. Most recently, Dr.
Pheley was a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow conducting federal policy research in
Senator John D. Rockefeller IV Washington D.C. office. He is currently the Director of Albion's Gerald R. Ford
Institute for Public Policy and Service.
