1988 Class Notes

Stuart Barbier, ’88, recently earned his Ph.D. in English from Michigan State University. He is an associate professor of English at Delta College. Stuart attended The University of London, the University of Chicago, and Michigan State University, where he earned his master’s degree in 1996. He lives in Bay City.

Jim Cracraft, ’88, has been named the Middle Level Principal of the Year by the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP). Jim began his career at Starr Commonwealth in Albion, where he was a childcare worker and teacher for seven years. He joined the teaching staff of the Northville public schools in 1995 at Meads Mill Middle School as an eighth-grade social studies teacher. Jim was promoted to assistant principal at Hillside Middle School in 1999 and became the principal at Hillside in 2001. He earned his M.A. from Eastern Michigan University and is a doctoral student at Wayne State University. Jim and his wife, Holly Sellers Cracraft, ’87, live in Northville.
