African Dinner Benefits Children in
Food for the body, mind and soul are on the menu for Albion College's annual African dinner, which will take place on Thursday, April 15 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.in the Albion First United Methodist Church Tennant Hall.
The dinner features a variety of African dishes, and supports Albion College’s Nwagni Project. The Nwagni Project was founded in 2005 after an Albion class that traveled to Cameroon was asked by the chief of the village Batchingou to help them raise money for a new elementary school. Almost $40,000 later, the school was completed last spring and the group is now raising money to provide the village with clean water.
Tickets for the dinner are $7 per person or $5 per person for groups over 10. All proceeds will go toward the clean water effort. To reserve tickets or for more information, contact Nwagni president Abby Schonfeld at
