January 4th

9:48 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: There was a report of someone walking out of the Kellogg Center bookstore and leaving in a vehicle. It turned out to be the new store manager and he had worked late. Disp: Unfounded.

January 9th

6:27 pm BURGLARY: A man was reported to be going through a locker in the woman's locker room at the Dow Center. Officers banned him from campus. Disp: Closed Criminal.

11:53 pm DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: A window was broken at the Counseling Center. Disp: Inactive.

January 10th

7:15 pm FIGHT: The Dow Center reported a problem at the basketball game. Officers responded and the juveniles and parents involved left the building. Disp: Cleared.

January 12th

2:24 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: There was a report of 4 juveniles trying to get into Seaton Hall. Officers responded and they ran off toward the tracks. All doors were secure. Disp: Inactive.

7:12 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: There was a report of a group of juveniles in front of 501 Michigan Annex and was coming through the gate. Officers found no one around and the area was secure. Disp: Unfounded.

January 13th

1:43 am SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: A vehicle was in Lot 4 with several people inside. Officers responded and they said they were waiting for someone else. They left in 10 minutes. Disp: Unfounded.

January 16th

10:15 am SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: There was a report of a vehicle in Lot 23 with the door open and no one around. Officers found it belonged to a retired professor and he said the door was frozen and didn't shut tight. Everything was alright. Disp: Unfounded.

January 17th

6:00 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: There was someone who kept coming into the Dow but did not have a membership card. It was determined he did have a membership and was advised to get a new ID card. Disp: Unfounded.

6:21 pm BURGLARY: Two juveniles broke into an office at the Dow Center. They left the building before officers arrived but were identified. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

January 20th

1:27 am SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: A vehicle was parked in Lot 18 without a permit. Disp: Cleared.

11:15 am MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: The old Campus Safety van was vandalized with spray paint. Disp: Inactive.

9:10 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A student reported there was something possibly missing from her room at the Ingham Annex. Disp: Inactive.

January 22nd

9:32 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: There was a report of a male walking around Lot 8 who appeared to be looking in vehicles. Officers arrived and saw him meet with students who walked out of Mitchell Towers, get in a vehicle and leave. Disp: Unfounded.

January 23rd

3:56 am SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Officers found a male in the area of Hannah/Cass Streets around the vehicles. He was identified and left campus. Disp: Cleared.

January 24th

2:18 am FIRE EXTINGUISHER/MALICIOUS DISCHARGE: Incident occurred at Sigma Nu.Disp: Inactive.

January 25th

10:54 pm ALCOHOL VIOLATION: Incident occurred with a student at the Coffee House. Closed (Administrative).

January 27th

1:22 am NOISE COMPLAINT: Complaint was made about students yelling out the window at Whitehouse Hall. Disp: Cleared.

7:56 am DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: There is a broken window in the double doors by the elevator, in west central at Wesley Hall. Disp: Inactive.

January 28th

3:30 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A vehicle with 3 males was parked on Cass Street in front of Seaton Hall. Officers found they were residents and they went to park the car in a lot. Disp: Unfounded.

11:20 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: There was a smell of smoke while closing the Dow Center. It was determined to be coming from a pump that was bad. Disp: Cleared.

January 30th

6:06 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: There was a report of someone behind Wesley Hall burning something. Officers found no one in the area and did not smell or see any evidence of a fire. Disp: Unfounded.

January 31st

2:27 pm SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Officers were told of a car parked in the fire lane in frat ally. It has no permit and doesn't appear to have been moved. Officers found out who the owner is and the vehicle will be moved. Disp: Cleared

7:10 SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: There was a report of screaming from the front of the Dow. Officers found no in the area. Dow workers were not aware of any problems. Disp: Unfounded.

8:29 pm HARASSMENT: Threats were written on a dry eraser board at Wesley Hall.

3:00 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A report from Mitchell Towers of a noise coming from a room in the basement. Officers found everything alright and the noise had stopped before their arrival. Disp: Unfounded.

12:02 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A student talked with a supervisor about a situation of concern she had for a Wesley Hall student. Disp: Unfounded.

February 3rd

2:27 am FIGHT: Incident occurred on the front porch of Sigma Nu. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

5:27 am IRRESPONSIBLE STUDENT ACTION: A report of two students on the roof of Alpha Tau Omega throwing snowballs at the windows of the other houses. Officers arrived and found them still on the roof. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

9:53 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: Officers found several tennis balls in the parking lot at the Dow Center. The ball cart was found in a snow bank with damage to it. No one was in the area. Disp: Inactive.

11:50 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A report of a man walking in Lot 1 trying to open car doors then got into a red vehicle. The vehicle was registered to a staff member. Disp: Inactive.

February 7th

1:27 am DISTURBANCE: Students on the Quad complained of being harassed by other students while playing frisbee. The students causing a problem had left before officers arrived. Disp: Unfounded.

7:42 pm LARCENY: Items were taken from a room at Alpha Tau Omega. Disp: Inactive.

February 9th

2:33 am HARASSMENT: Incident occurred at Wesley Hall. Disp: Inactive.

3:07 am NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of a very loud TV at Tau Kappa Epsilon. Officers arrived and could only hear faint music. The residents complied and turned the music down. Cisp: Cleared.

2:54 pm LARCENY: A students bike was taken from inside Tau Kappa Epsilon. Disp: Inactive.

10:40 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: There was a report of someone streaking near Sigma Chi. Officers arrived and found no one in the area. Disp: Unfounded.

4:20 pm REQUESTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS/BARRED: Two juveniles were seen around campus and skipping school. They have been barred. Disp: Cleared.

8:25 pm ASSIST ADPS: It was reported a student had locked her keys in her car while parked at Victory Park. The city police had been on the way but got another call and wanted Campus Safety to let her know they were running late. Officers arrived to deliver the message and found she wasn't actually a student. Disp: Unfounded.

February 15th

12:27 am ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION: Incident occurred with students in Wesley Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

February 16th

5:50 am DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: Mesh screen at the top of the Nature Center gate was damaged. Disp: Inactive.

9:40 am ASSIST ADPS: ADPS spoke with a student about a fight that had been witnessed a few weeks ago. Disp: Open Pending.

10:31 am NOISE COMPLAINT: Reports of loud noise/chanting from fraternity rituals. Disp: Cleared.

10:45 pm NOISE COMPLAINT: Public Safety reported that fraternities were shouting obscene language at Public Safety Officers. A warning was given to Alpha Tau Omega and Delta Sigma Phi. Disp: Cleared.

11:26 pm ASSIST ADPS: A Wesley Hall student without identification was found by Public Safety with alcohol in Frat Alley. Campus Safety Officers confirmed that she was a student. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

February 17th

1:05 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A report of 2 students and 1 non-student who seemed intoxicated walking toward Wesley Hall. Officer found no one in the area. Disp: Unfounded.

2:48 am HARASSMENT: A report that graffiti was written on a door in Wesley Hall. Disp: Inactive.

February 19th

7:56 am VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A college vehicle backed into a students vehicle that was parked in Lot 32. Disp: Cleared.

6:52 pm ALCOHOL VIOLATION: Incident occurred with a student from Saturday night at Delta Tau Delta. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

February 21st

1:03 am NOISE COMPLAINT: Complaint was made of loud music coming from Alpha Tau Omega. Residents complied and turned down the music. Disp: Cleared.

2:20 am DISTURBANCE: Incident occurred outside Delta Tau Delta with a female student who was throwing things and refused to leave. She had left before officers arrived. Disp: Unfounded.

11:00 am VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A staff member reported that on Monday she had parked in Lot 4 and found her back bumper dented. Disp: Inactive.

February 22nd

2:21 am IRRESPONSIBLE STUDENT ACTION: Incident occurred outside Mitchell Towers. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

4:50 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A city residents reported that her missing bike was seen at Wesley Hall and it had a special plate on it. Officers found the bike but it didn't have the plate. She was advised to contact city police. Disp: (Unfounded).

5:06 pm REQUESTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS/BARRED: Two teenagers were bothering people in the library. Officers arrived, identified them and they complied and left the building. Disp: Cleared.

February 25th

12:00 pm AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Incident occurred in Mitchell Towers. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

7:15 pm MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A student reported damage to her vehicle while parked in Lot 18. Disp: Inactive.

2:40 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A strange noise was coming from the basement in Ingham Annex. Officers found it was from the water softener resetting. Disp: Unfounded.

3:50 pm DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: A student reported vehicle damage while parked in Lot 4. Disp: Inactive.

11:33 pm NOISE COMPLAINT: Students were making noise in a lounge at the Science Complex. Officers spoke with them and they complied to keep it quiet in the study areas. Disp: Cleared.

11:50 pm NOISE COMPLAINT: Students were again making noise in a lounge in the Science Complex. Officers gave a warning to the students to keep it quiet. Disp: Cleared.

7:54 am VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A students drivers mirror was knocked off her vehicle parked in Lot 14 by a college vehicle. Disp: Cleared.

3:11 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A report of an older man at the Nature Center building. Officers identified him and he was told to stay off college property. Disp: Cleared.

6:53 pm NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of a car with loud music in Lot 1 near Wesley Hall. Officers arrived but found the area quiet. Disp: Cleared.

March 7th

3:48 am ALCOHOL VIOLATION: Incident occurred with a student in Wesley Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

7:15 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A report of a man going through the dumpster in Fraternity alley. Officers arrived and there was no one in the area. Disp: Cleared.

9:14 pm HARASSMENT: Pictures were drawn on a door in Wesley Hall. Disp: Inactive.

March 10th

12:12 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A noise was heard upstairs in the Coffee House. A door also showed damage. The building was alright and the door damage was old. Disp: Unfounded.

March 11th

6:15 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: There was a report of an alarm at I-House. The building checked alright. The noise was coming from the emergency phone and that has been reset. Disp: Unfounded.

March 18th

12:30 am SUSPICIOUS PERSON: There was a report of 2 unknown males who walked into the back door of the Visual Arts Annex then they left. Officers found no one in the area. Disp: Cleared.

1:29 am NOISE COMPLAINT: Loud music was playing at Alpha Tau Omega. They complied and turned it down. Disp: Cleared.

March 19th

9:33 am LARCENY: A student reported an attempt to steal an item from her vehicle while it was parked in Lot 23. Disp: Inactive.

10:39 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A male was seen near the Science Complex approaching people for money or a ride. He was identified by officers, he complied and left campus. Disp: Cleared.

March 20th

12:58 am NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of loud noise coming from Sigma Nu. They complied and turned down the noise. Disp: Cleared.

2:00 pm MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A hole was found in the wall of the women's restroom in the Mudd Learning Center. Disp: Inactive.

March 22nd

1:45 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A students vehicle was found in Lot 4 with a door ajar and unlocked. Officers were unable to contact the student so the vehicle was locked and he was emailed of the situation. Disp: Cleared.

March 23rd

12:03 am MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: An exterior room window was broken at Whitehouse Hall. Disp: Inactive.

12:29 am NOISE COMPLAINT: A warning about loud music was given to Alpha Tau Omega. Disp: Cleared.

March 26th

3:19 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: Three students were seen by the cleaning crew, going into the Kellogg Center and didn't come out. They were found sleeping/waiting for Piston tickets. They were escorted to the foyer to wait.Disp: Unfounded.

5:54 am FIRE: Smoke was reported in the basement of Baldwin Hall. Officers found no active fire, just smoke. ADPS found that a compressor is causing the smoke. Officers unplugged the compressor and waited for Facilities to arrive. Disp: Cleared.

March 27th

9:50 am IRRESPONSIBLE STUDENT ACTION: A student had a vehicle parked in Lot 1, that had a parking permit belonging to someone else. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

10:42 am MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A student reported that approx. 1 week ago while her vehicle was parked in Lot 18, there was an attempt to take the catalytic converter. It was discovered over the weekend. Disp: Disp: Closed (Criminal).

9:45 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: There was a group of people around the canoe shed with the doors open. Officers found they were loading up for a canoe trip and had keycards to the building. Disp: Unfounded.

10:42 am MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A students vehicle was tampered with while parked in Lot 18 last week. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

March 28th

9:05 am SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A Facilities employee reported a man who had been sitting in a vehicle for the last hour outside I-House. Officers found it was a construction worker on a break. Disp: Cleared.

March 29th

2:09 am ASSAULT AND BATTERY: Incident occurred between a student and staff member outside Seaton Hall. Disp: Closed (Criminal)

4:18 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: There was a report of breaking glass in Lot 1. Officers found a broken florescent bulb and an empty bottle near the compactor. All cars in the lot were secure. Disp: Unfounded.

9:58 pm ROBBERY: A student reported that an intoxicated man tried to take his wallet near the Kellogg Center. Officers could not locate the person on campus. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

April 4th

2:27 am ALCOHOL VIOLATION: Incident occurred with a student walking on Perry/Hannah Streets. Closed (Administrative).

3:45 am SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A report of someone in a hoody and flip flops smoking a cigarette and looking into windows at Wesley Hall. Officers found no one in the area. Disp: Unfounded.

9:01 pm MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: There was damage done to the side of a students vehicle while it was parked on Hannah Street. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

11:16 pm ALCOHOL VIOLATION: Incident occurred with a student in Wesley Hall. Disp: Closed ( Administrative).

April 5th

12:40 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A red bike was found in the bushes near Kresge Gym. About an hour later it was gone. Disp: Unfounded.

3:02 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A juvenile boy had been seen in Vulgamore Hall about an hour ago by a staff member. Officers did a complete walkthrough of the building and found no one around. Disp: Unfounded.

11:22 pm IRRESPONSIBLE STUDENT ACTION: A student was hanging out the window of Sigma Nu. He was identified and complied to stop this activity. Disp: Cleared.

11:45 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: There was a male near the porch of Tau Kappa Epsilon who smelled of marijuana. He saw officers and ran into the building. Disp: Inactive.

11:50 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A male was in frat alley and refused to identify himself. ADPS was contacted for identification. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

April 6th

12:15 am ALCOHOL VIOLATION: Incident occurred with a student in Wesley Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

12:20 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Two people were seen walking west on Cass Street fitting the description of people wanted in another incident. They turned onto Ash Street but could not be found. Disp: Unfounded.

9:53 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: There was an open door found at the old Catholic Church Building. Individuals were seen at a neighboring house. A walkthrough was done and everything seemed alright. The building was secured. Disp: Unfounded.

April 7th

1:24 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: Four people were seen looking into vehicle in Lot 26. Officers arrived and checked the entire area, no one was found and vehicles were secure. Disp: Unfounded.

April 8th

2:11 am NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of loud noise and yelling in the Frat area. Officers arrived and found the area quiet and no one around. Disp: Cleared.

2:23 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: An older man was reported to be wandering the halls in the Science Complex. Officers found and identified him as a students father. He was waiting for a class to be over to drive her home. Disp: Unfounded.

10:58 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A report of an older man wandering around in Lot 18. Officers found only students in the area. The person who reported it said he had been walking west in the lot. The area was secure. Disp: Unfounded.

April 9th

10:22 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A report of the possible smell of marijuana in Wesley Hall. Officers arrived but could not locate the smell. The area was secure. Disp: Unfounded.

April 10th

4:31 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A report of three males going in the west hall at Wesley Hall asking for can/bottles. Officers responded and the RD said she would take care of it. Disp: Unfounded.

April 11th

11:24 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Two males were seen walking across the Quad towards Lot 18. They never came through the lot and were not found in the area. Disp: Unfounded.

11:36 pm LARCENY: A students license plate was taken off his vehicle while parked in Lot 28. Disp: Inactive.

April 12th

12:53 am SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: A vehicle was found parked by the concession stand. It is unregistered and no one is in the area. Disp: Unfounded.

2:40 pm BURGLARY: A student reported a laptop taken from her room in Mitchell Towers. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

9:50 pm LARCENY: A student reported an MP3 player taken from the Dow locker room. Disp: Inactive.

9:31 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: There was some equipment missing from a room at the Kresge Science Building. It was found later in the day. Disp: Unfounded.

12:39 am SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Two men were seen walking near Goodrich Chapel. Officers arrived and found no one in the area. Disp: Unfounded.

7:19 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A larger group of juveniles were reported behind Olin Hall, possibly in a fight. Officers arrived, talked with them and found they were "messing around" and everything was alright. They complied and left campus. Disp: Unfounded.

April 17th

6:23 am SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A student reported that an older man came into the back door at Seaton Hall. Officers did a complete walkthrough and did not locate anyone. Disp: Unfounded.

6:40 am SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A man was seen in the parking lot of Goodrich Chapel leaving the area on a bike. The lot was secure. Disp: Unfounded.

9:41 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Three juvenile males were on bikes riding around Kresge Gym. Officers arrived but no one was in the area. Disp: Unfounded.

April 18th

2:23 am NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of loud music coming from Delta Sigma Phi. Officers arrived and the residents complied and turned down the music. Disp: Cleared.

2:56 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: Someone was seen inside Robinson Hall after it was closed. Officers did a complete walkthrough and found no one inside. Disp: Unfounded.

9:15 am LARCENY: A student's purse had been taken from the Library on Dec 3rd and has been found at the Dow Center. Disp: Inactive.

4:05 pm LARCENY: A laptop is missing from Vulgamore Hall. It was later found locked up so that it wouldn't be taken. Disp: Unfounded.

December 11th

10:53 pm FIGHT: There was a fight on the front porch at Delta Tau Delta between a student and non-student. The non-student was barred from campus. Disp: Cleared.

December 12th

12:30 am NOISE COMPLAINT: A lot of noise was reported on the second floor at Munger Apartments. Officers arrived and spoke with the residents who complied and turned down the noise. Disp: Cleared.

12:36 am FIRE EXTINGUISHER/MALICIOUS DISCHARGE: Incident occurred at Delta Tau Delta. Disp: Inactive.

12:59 am NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of loud noise on the second floor at Munger Apartments. Officers arrived and a warning was given to the residents. Disp: Cleared.

1:18 am LARCENY: A student allowed someone to use her ID card to get into Wesley Hall and they ran off with it. The card was deactivated. Disp: Inactive.

2:15 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: Norfolk Southern Police called about the signal the railroad crossing near Facilities on Huron Street. It had been turned and they asked that it be watched and reported if it was turned again. Disp: Cleared.

December 13th

8:20 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A man was setting in a blue truck by Goodrich Chapel. Officers arrived and the man said he was waiting for his married girlfriend to arrive. Disp: Cleared.

December 15th

9:19 am LARCENY: Numerous items of dishware from Baldwin Hall was found in a room at Wesley Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

December 18th

8:00 pm SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: A truck was found backed up to Dean Hall. Officers spoke with a student who said she had been approved by Res Life to stay and was moving her things out. Disp: Unfounded.

December 19th

11:59 am LARCENY: A parent called to make a report about a student's bike that was taken from a bike rack at Wesley Hall around November 20th. It was needed for insurance purposes. Disp: Inactive.

December 23rd

2:20 pm HAZING: Incident occurred in mid-October. Disp: Open Pending.

December 30th

2:20 pm VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A citizens truck backed into a college vehicle on the corner of Cass and Hannah Street. Disp: Cleared.
