Melanie Holmes DeWitt, ’89, is a bilingual reading specialist. She lives in Orono, MN.

Wendy Willison McCartney, ’89, is a stay-at-home mom. She previously worked part-time in human resources for the medical start-up Carena Inc. Wendy is still staying active in human resources by assisting with classes and certification. She is active with the PTA and art docent program. The PTA recently raised more than $100,000 to supplement a variety of programs. She and her husband, Shawn, have been married 11 years and have two daughters. Her parents, Floyd and Mary Lou Kaechele Willison, both ’56, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Stephen Tupper, ’89, obtained a type rating in the Douglas DC-3 at the Gryder Networks training center in Griffin, GA. The DC-3 is a historic airliner that revolutionized civil and military aviation in the 1930s and 1940s. Stephen is an information technology, aviation, and aerospace lawyer with the Dykema law firm in Bloomfield Hills. He is an instrument-rated single- and multi-engine pilot and Civil Air Patrol (USAF Auxiliary) captain. He recently flew with the USAF Thunderbirds. Stephen also produces Airspeed, a widely-distributed aviation podcast. He lives in Bloomfield Hills.
