In a nutshell, what do you do?
Identify and mediate possible risks to the mortgage servicing process by updating policies and procedures and preparing risk assessment reports.
Why do you love what you do?
A successful career is more than responsibilities and tasks. A successful career thrives when the environment from which it stems from is healthy and enjoyable. Quicken Loans is an incredibly unique company that truly cares for each employee. They believe that an efficient company can only be run by happy employees and they do everything possible to create both a unique and enjoyable work atmosphere. I love everything about the culture at Quicken Loans and wake up every morning excited to go to work.
How did Albion help you get there?
Albion provided the support I needed to be successful. The challenges it brought to my educational and personal life created the successful adult I am today. Albion creates a competitive atmosphere with enough challenges and faculty support to mold any student into a leader and integral part of the work force.
For me, Albion… changed my life. When I began my college career I had no idea what I wanted or had planned. Only through the experiences and guidance Albion has provided me have I discovered who I am and what I want to do. It has opened my eyes to the potential I have within Finance and it has equipped me with the skills to be successful in that industry.

What did you like most about Albion College?
Albion’s size presented me with a wealth of opportunity that I don’t feel I could’ve gotten at any other school. From the personal attention in the classroom and customized career/internship assistance, to never failing to see a friendly, familiar face everywhere I went, Albion is an incredible place and an enriching experience.
How did Albion help you get to where you wanted to be?
Albion’s liberal arts-based educational experience, coupled with leadership and personal growth opportunities, gave me the tools I needed to succeed. Gaining skills and taking classes outside of my major allowed me to become a better writer and thinker, which my employer has said sets Albion students apart from students at state universities. I love my job and I feel confident about my career, and Albion helped me get here.
For me, Albion...
...was my home. Attending Albion was the best decision I ever made. Not only did I get a great education, but I made my life there. My best friends, my fondest memories, and my most important life lessons came from being an involved Albion student.
More on Albion's CPA program
I didn’t realize it when I applied, but Albion is a great school for aspiring Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). Beyond the top notch education, I was able to complete my educational requirements to become licensed (150 hours) in four years at Albion, without taking many extra classes or overloading my schedule. Most CPAs have to complete five years of school to meet the requirement, giving me and other CPA candidates from Albion an advantage professionally and financially.
