Albion College Athletic Training Faculty, Staff, and Scholars
Robert
Moss, Ph.D.('88), ATC
arrived at Albion College in the fall of 2000. He is the Director of the Athletic Training
Education Program. Bob teaches Anatomy, Biomechanics, and Introduction
to Athletic Training. He did his undergraduate
work at Western Michigan University and his doctorate in biomechanics
from Southern Illinois University. Bob and Carol (see below) have twin
daughters, Lynn and Sarah and they enjoy camping in the summers. Students interested in pursuing a degree

or by phone at (517) 629-0548. Gayle Thompson, Ph.D. ('07), ATC arrived at Albion College in the fall of 2007. She teaches both clinical and didactic courses in the Athletic Training Education Program. Gayle brings teaching experience from Western Michigan University and recently completed her doctoral work there in December 2007. Her dissertation topic was Clinical Education in Athletic Training. Gayle did her undergraduate work at Miami University and received a Master's in Athletic Training from Western Michigan University. Carol Moss, M.A. ('82), ATC arrived at Albion College in the fall of 2000. She is the Clinical Education Coordinator for the Athletic Training Education Program. Carol is responsible for the clinical assignments for the students and teaches several of the courses in the didactic portion of the program. She brings great experience from her work at an NCAA Division I university and as a director of a sports medicine clinic. Carol works part-time in the athletic training room specializing in orthotic construction and manual therapy techniques. Sara Koski, M.A. ('04), ATC arrived at Albion College in the fall of 2004. She is the Head Athletic Trainer and Clinical Instructor for the Athletic Training Education Program. She is in charge of the health care of the 500 plus student-athletes and the daily operations of the athletic training room, including evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. Sara teaches First Aid and CPR as an American Red Cross certified instructor and is a valued Clinical Educator for the ATEP. Sara did her undergraduate work at Oregon State University and received a Master's in Athletic Training from Western Michigan University. ('05), ATC arrived at Albion College in the fall of 2007 and is the Assistant Athletic Trainer in Athletics and a Clinical Instructor for the Athletic Training Education Program. Danielle's current athletic training responsibilities are primarily with the soccer, baseball and men's basketball programs. She received her undergraduate degree from Albion College, majoring in chemistry and completed her Masters in Athletic Training at Seton Hall University.
