Peer consultants at the Writing Center are prepared to work with writers at every stage of the writing process, and for many kinds of writing... *brainstorming and writing drafts *organizing your ideas *revising or final editing *essays and research papers *lab reports and research summaries *cover letters, personal statements, resumes *senior and honors theses It doesn't take long to improve your writing! Working one-on-one with a peer consultant = 10 - 30 minutes of your day! Writing consultants do not edit or proofread students' papers. Instead, they work with you to help you sharpen your ideas, work toward a writing focus, organize your written argument, or recognize and correct your grammatical errors. Most importantly, our writing consultants are supportive listeners and readers interested in helping you become a more confident and capable writer. Questions?
