Come for help with any kind of math (at any level), statistics, logic, using spreadsheets, graphing calculators, computer algebra systems (like Mathematica or MathCad), test or math anxiety, graduate exam preparation, studying math and science, test-taking strategies, and anything else involving quantitative skills. If you could use some support in any of these areas, whether or not you are enrolled in a math course, please stop in. Here are a set of Functions Study Guides. Mathematics 143 students, to take a practice gateway quiz. What you will find in the Quantitative Skills Center In the Quantitative Skills Center, you will find three computers which will hold several programs, including Scientific Notebook and self-paced computer tutorials on algebra and trig. Students are encouraged to drop-in and make use of these facilities any time. There are many mathematics textbooks in the room which can be used as reference and may be borrowed from the Center. In addition, the Center is staffed by students and a director. These people can answer your questions! To see when there will be someone who can help you, look at the help schedule. In addition to help on a drop-in basis, several workshops are offered throughout the semester, and student math tutors are coordinated through the Quantitative Skills Center. You may also find it useful to visit some of the helpful web sites related to math and science. If you have any questions about the QSC, send mail to Karla McCavit.
