Career Information

Knowledge and skills in anthropology and sociology are valuable for those pursuing careers in fields such as public administration, social services, job counseling, public health, journalism, market research, public opinion polling and diplomacy.  And these fields offer solid preparation for graduate or professional study in law, urban planning, labor relations, personnel management, hospital administration and museum management, as well as research and teaching in the fields of cultural anthropology, archaeology, biological anthropology, and sociology.  Recent graduates have become biostatisticians, urban planners, lawyers, congressional staff workers, biological anthropologists, physicians, news reporters, and church field staff workers. 

Albion anthropology and sociology majors have also continued their educations at: Harvard, Rochester, Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Wisconsin, UCLA and University of London.
