Gifts of Stock Part 1
If your broker
or trustee holds shares in an account
or street form (no certificate):
A. Your broker or trustee can
electronically transfer the stock from your account to Albion
College=s account. The advantages of this method include safety and
speed.
B. Ask your broker or trustee to
contact Albion College at 517/629-0237 for instructions or give your
broker or trustee the following instructions:
1. Transfer stock to Albion
College’s account at A.G. Edwards, Account # 1287-8917, DTC
#0201. (A. G. Edwards: 517/787-8860)
2. Albion College’s Tax
Identification Number is 38-1359081.

C. Make sure that you, your
broker or trustee calls Albion College at 517/629-0237 to
let us know to expect the transfer. We need to know:
Your name; the name of the stock being transferred, the
number of shares, the approximate date of transfer, and the
name and phone and phone number of the broker or trustee
making the transfer.
Without this call, we may
receive the stock and have no way of knowing who gave it to
us! |
