Dave Neilson Day

David L. Neilson, '66 has been an active Albion College alumnus, serving as vice president for on-campus activities for the Alumni Board of Directors from 1999-2002.  Dave has helped with numerous fundraising drives, including the Morley Fraser Field campaign.  He has also assisted in the area of recruitment.

While a student at Albion, Dave majored in physical education and economics and lettered four years in football at quarterback.  As a senior he achieved All-America recognition and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League.  In 1992, Dave was inducted into Albion's Athletic Hall of Fame.

In the fall of 2002, Dave was appointed commissioner of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.  He is the eighth person to lead the nation's oldest collegiate conference.
