Senior Class Gift

In the Senior Class Gift Program, seniors can make a donation back to the College as they approach graduation. A committee of several senior student leaders works on selecting a senior class gift project that has special significance for the class; these committee members also drive the fund-raising efforts for the gift, which depends mostly on peer-to-peer solicitation.

The Class of 2008 selected two projects for their senior class gift. First, a section of Former Philosophy professor, Ned Garvin.sidewalk near the Rock will have a message inscribed about diversity. This message will reflect the importance of the Rock as a symbol of inclusion for everyone on campus.

Second, two beloved Albion professors passed away during the Class of 2008's time here. All money designated to the Senior Class Gift in excess of the cost of the diversity message will be split between the Ned S. Garvin Scholarship in Philosophy and the David W. Green Chemistry Scholarship.

Seniors may also donate to official campus organizations, academic departments, and intercollegiate sports teams. Former Chemistry professor, David Green.

One of the goals of the senior class gift program is to educate students to be good donors when they become alumni. Under the terms of the senior class gift program, students are able to donate part or all of their general deposit or directly make a gift via cash, check, or credit card. The donations are counted during the fiscal year in which they are received. Then, beginning the year after they graduate, the seniors join the pool of all alumni for annual solicitations via mail, e-mail, and phone.

If you would like to make a donation to the senior class gift, please print off a senior gift form and return the form 1. to the KC front desk (purple and gold box, labeled SENIORS), 2. to the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at the Alumni Office front desk on the 3rd floor of Ferguson, or 3. send via campus mail to KC Box 4688.
