What is the Race for the Shield?
The Race for the Shield is a fundraising competition between all classes celebrating anniversaries ending in a "0" or a "5". There are two opportunities for your class to win. Your class could win the highest total giving category, or the highest giving participation category, or both!
Class giving gives you the chance to demonstrate your passion for Albion College all while helping to give current and future students resources to succeed. All gifts, of any amount to any designation, were counted from July 1, 2014, through October 16, 2015 for the 2015 competition.
Also, pledges of $25,000 or more that are payable over up to five years will count. For example, a pledge of $25,000 could be paid in five annual installments of $5,000 and would count at the full value of the total commitment.
