Phyllis Skagerberg MacDonald, ’55, has retired from working as a consultant for an educational publisher and from the school district where she was an educator and administrator. She continues to work in professional development for the Arizona Department of Education. She lives in Oro Valley, AZ.
James Porter, ’55, has been involved as a crewman with the Yankee Air Force at Willow Run Airport since last summer. He is working with a group that is currently restoring a World War II, AT 11 twin-engine Beechcraft to flying status. He and his wife, Mary, enjoy traveling and live in Ortonville.
Jim Reutter, ’55, was elected chairman of Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Co. in April. He lives in Bonita Springs, FL, and Lansing.
Donald Strobe, ’55, is recuperating from a stroke in February and is currently residing at Clark Retirement Community in Grand Rapids.
Jack Taylor, ’55, has helped organize Beyond the Scoreboard, a workshop session focused on promoting character and sportsmanship in youth sports. The workshops are designed for coaches, parents, and volunteers and provide the tools that cultivate a culture of respect, discipline, fair play, and accountability. Beyond the Scoreboard now annually recognizes athletes, coaches, parents, officials, and youth sports leaders who adhere to the principles of the workshops. Jack lives in Burt Lake.
