Cedric Dempsey, ’54, and his wife, June Luke Dempsey, ’54, recently traveled to Cape Town, South Africa. They also enjoyed safaris in Botswana and Zambia. They live in La Jolla, CA.
Ben Lark, ’54, was recently named to the board for the Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy (SWMLC), and is currently serving as chairman of the Calhoun County Conservation District. He served in 2006 on a work group that protected the 180-acre Brooks Nature Area, part of the Marshall City Parks system. He is retired after 30 years as a State Farm Insurance Agency owner. He is past president of the Marshall Rotary, and is a former member of both the Marshall City and Fredonia Township Planning Commissions. Selected as 2006 Conservationist of the Year by Pheasants Forever, he has published articles in Field & Stream and Outdoor Life. He owns 93 acres that have been restored to native prairie grasses. He lives in Marshall.
