Reed Becker, ’82, is the packaging broker and owner of Becker & Associates. He and his wife, Amy, have two daughters. They live in East Grand Rapids.
Julie Reaume Byrne, ’82, is an interior designer. She is the sole proprietor of a residential design business specializing in new construction and remodels in Oakland County. Julie and her husband, Peter, have been married for 18 years. They have three sons and live in Birmingham.
Jim and Beth Muir Carlsen, both ’82, live in Folsom, CA. Jim is a self-employed real estate developer. Beth is vice chairman for Commerce Bank of Folsom. They are involved with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. They have a summer home in Leland, MI. They have been married 23 years and have three children.
Charlie Carpenter, ’82, is a regional sales manager for the Food Network, where he has worked for almost five years. He is involved with the Gleaners Food Bank and the United Way. Charlie is also active with First United Methodist Church and Adcraft Club of Detroit. He and his wife, Mary, have two children and live in Birmingham.
Amy Gaunt, ’82, is an obstetrician/gynecologist. She is on staff at Hinsdale Hospital, near Chicago. Amy also helps with her church’s Celebration Medical Clinic. She has gone scuba diving in Curacao in the Dutch Antilles. Amy and her husband, Tim, have a daughter. The family lives in Woodridge, IL.
Steven Kalbfleisch, ’82, is an electrophysiologist and cardiologist. He is director of the electrophysiology laboratory at the Ohio State University. He and his wife, Patricia, live in Worthington, OH.
Kathryn Rowe Kissane, ’82, is a project manager for KPMG’s office in Tralee, Ireland. She previously worked for 15 years running a college study abroad program in Ireland. Kathryn has two sons and lives in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland.
Michael and Laura Merrion Marmor-stein, both ’82, live in Southfield. Michael has been an industrial filtration specialist for 20 years. Laura is a librarian for Brookside Early Childhood Center in the Cranbrook Schools. She is vice president for Children’s International Summer Villages. Laura earned her master’s degree from Wayne State University in 2006. They have two children.
Kelli Backos Matthew, ’82, is chief human resources officer for Clark Hill PLC. She is a member of a local advisory council that sponsors the Sister to Sister National Women’s Heart Health Day, which is held in Detroit and 15 other cities throughout the country. She earned her M.B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1987. Kelli and her husband, Jim, have been married for 23 years. They have two daughters and live in Grosse Pointe Woods.
Brian and Alison Feuell Murray, both ’82, live in Novi. Brian is an engineering manager with Delphi Corp. He earned a master’s degree in 1984 from Duke University and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1994. Alison is an elementary school aide for Novi School District. They have been married for 25 years and have two daughters.
Mary Leidy Murray, ’82, is an elementary physical education teacher at Burke County Public Schools. She and her husband, Robert, live in Valdese, NC.
Karen Masters VanBeek, ’82, is an elementary school music teacher. Director of hand bells and choir accompanist at First United Methodist Church, she is also a “Studio 2B” Girl Scout troop leader. Karen earned her master’s degree from Florida Atlantic University in 1997. She and her husband, Simon, have two children. They live in Okeechobee, FL.
David Willenborg, ’82, is a national account manager for Bay Valley Foods. He and his wife, Cathy, were married in October 2005 and have a daughter. The family lives in Plano, TX.
