Ralph Kiessling, ’56, is a former president of Health Plan Hawaii, Hawaii Family Health Centers, Hawaii Family Dental Centers, and Integrated Services Inc. and also was the executive vice president of HMSA Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Hawaii. Now retired, he is involved with the United Way, the Honolulu Opera Theater, and the Honolulu Rotary Club. He earned a master’s degree from the University of Hawaii. He and his wife, Margie, live in Kaneohe, HI.
Ed Pickell, ’56, has published a book of Christmas poems called Through the Eyes of a Child. It is a picture poetry book intended for children as well as adults. Ed earned two degrees from Michigan State University, where he has also completed doctoral work. He has served as a teacher and administrator in grades K-12, and has also worked in higher education. He lives in Peoria, IL.
