Leo Borrello, ’55, delivered the 2007 James E. O’Neill Jr. Memorial Lecture at Saginaw Valley State University in September. He served on the bench of Michigan’s 10th Judicial Circuit for nearly 20 years, including 12 years as chief judge of the court, retiring in April 2006. Leo remains a visiting judge for the 10th Circuit. Before becoming a judge, he was a senior partner in the law firm of Borrello, Thomas, and Jensen, which culminated 30 years of private practice in Saginaw. He is active with the Saginaw County Crime Prevention Council and the American Kennel Club. Leo and his wife, Audre Wilson Borrello, ’57, have three sons, including Stephen Borrello, ’81.
Hugh Hessler, ’55, and his wife, Patricia Pearsall Hessler, ’57, have sung with the Benzie Community Chorus for more than 30 years. They have traveled to more than 60 countries, visiting every continent except Antarctica. They live in Frankfort.
