Richard Burns, ’52, is a retired scientist with Procter & Gamble. He has been working as a construction volunteer with Maranatha Volunteers of Sacramento, CA, building churches and schools. The group completed five jobs in 2007. He and his wife, Martha, live in Cleveland, TN.
Pat McCann Darling, ’52, is a certified lay speaker for the United Methodist Church. She leads the pre-service hymn singing. She also does monthly singing at a nursing home. She has gone on several cruises and done some traveling throughout the world. Pat and her husband, Doug Darling, ’51, have three grandsons. They live in Venice, FL.
Doyle Hoopingarner, ’52, is a retired emergency room physician. He has been involved with the Rotary for 50 years and has been a lay leader for his church. He has traveled throughout Canada and the United States, including Alaska and New Brunswick. Doyle and his wife, Elaine, have been married for seven years and live in Grand Rapids.
Don Pixley, ’52, was chosen as the grand marshal for the 56th annual Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade. He was the former director of the Pixley Funeral Home. The treasurer for the Michigan Polio Network, Don has been involved in various organizations, including the Kiwanis Club and Rotary International. He and his wife, Ernestine, live in Rochester.
