2005 Class Notes

Jeremy Benton, ’05, graduated from Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC, with a master of divinity degree in May 2008. He is serving a three-point charge at Bancroft, Morrice, and Pittsburg (MI) United Methodist churches.

Sam Hogg, ’05, completed his M.B.A. in finance from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University. He is currently the portfolio manager of Spartan Ventures, LLC, a venture capital firm investing in Michigan-based technology start-ups. Sam lives in East Lansing.

Jason Martinez, ’05, is the head coach of the men’s tennis team at Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL. He is also an assistant football coach (defensive line). He earned a master’s degree in sports studies from Bemidji State University. Jason has previously worked as an assistant football coach at Bemidji State and Albion College.

Brianna Simpson, ’05, successfully completed the 112th Boston Marathon in 4 1/2 hours. This was her first time running the marathon. Brianna ran for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, raising more than $3,000 for children’s cancer treatment. She is an associate manager at Vera Wang in Boston, MA. She lives in Brookline, MA.
