1988 Class Notes

Ann-Marie Anderson, ’88, graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1994, where she served as a founding editor of the Journal of Gender and Law and has practiced law continuously since that time with Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, LLP, as an assistant attorney general, and as vice president and general counsel of a Silicon Valley (CA) technology company. Her clients have included representation of the Arizona Diamondbacks. She currently serves as vice president of the University of Michigan Club of Phoenix and its board, and she previously served for six years on the National University of Michigan Alumni Association Board of directors and its executive committee. She served as national chairperson of the 1999 and 2004 University of Michigan Law School class reunions and capital campaigns. She has served as a guest lecturer at the University of Michigan Law School and the Arizona State University College of Law. In her free time she maintains her 5.0 USTA tennis rating and recently returned from an extended cruise of the Alaskan Inside Passage with her family. Jim Cracraft, ’88, 360 Eaton Dr., Northville, MI 48167, is the principal of Hillside Middle School in Northville. He was named Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals Middle School Level Principal of the Year in 2008. He was also named to the Network of Michigan Educators Advisory Board in 2008. Jim has been part of the Galileo Leadership Academy and the Fulbright Master Teacher Program. He was also involved with the Fulbright Collaborative School Science Network and the Japanese Business Society International Educators Program. He received the National Science Teachers Association Exemplary Principal Award. He and his wife, Holly Sellen Cracraft, ’87, have three children.

Pari Constan-Neary, ’88, 410 Marlin Ave., Royal Oak, MI 48067, is a recruiter and manager for The KPM Group. She is married to David.

Kevin Evans, ’88, has been appointed senior vice president for branch management/retail banking and deposits for mBank. He will be responsible for all mBank branches in the Upper Peninsula and northern Lower Peninsula. He has worked in retail banking for 17 years, most recently for a 10-branch network at Wachovia Bank in Florida. He also served as area executive at Indian River National Bank in Florida. Kevin completed study at Florida School of Banking at the University of Florida and Commercial Lending School at Oklahoma State University. He and his wife, Lynn Marie, live in Engadine with their children.

Cindy Larkin Kazee, ’88, 1236 41st Ave., Sacramento, CA 95818, is president and owner of UNDC, providing telecommunications engineering and consulting services. It operates nationwide, serving AT&T, Verizon, and local utilities. She and her husband, Dennis, are active with Cub Scouts as den leaders. They were honored as Scout Family of the Year by the Golden Empire District in 2008. She is active with the Parent/Teacher Council at her kids’ school. She and her family traveled to Virginia with Mark Abbott, ’89, and his family. Cindy and Dennis have been married for 15 years and have two children.

Matthew Mair, ’88, 465 West 49th St., 3B, New York, NY 10019, works in marketing for Alcatel-Lucent. He earned his M.B.A. from Michigan State University.

John Mundell III, ’88, 426 Cambridge Blvd. SE, East Grand Rapids, MI 49506, is a vice president and principal of Signature Associates for Cushman & Wakefield. He is a certified property manager. John and his wife, Katherine Lyman Mundell, ’81, have four children.

Erik Otterberg, ’88, 18715 Honeysuckle Dr., Elkhorn, NE 68022, is an orthopaedic surgeon with GIKK Ortho Specialists. A clinical instructor for the University of Nebraska, he received the Outstanding Instructor Award for Orthopaedic Surgery in 2006. Erik is chairman of the Nebraska chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. He earned his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School in 1992. Erik and his wife, Liz, were married in 1995 and have four children.

Dave Sibilsky, ’88, 670 Cumberland Circle NE, Atlanta, GA 30306, is the senior director for pricing strategy for Georgia Pacific Consumer Products, where he has worked since 2003. He is vice chair for the Atlanta board of Outward Bound. He earned his M.B.A. from Duke University. He and his wife, Catalina, were married in 2005. They have two children.

Cindy Higgins Smith, ’88, 1546 Sodon Lake Dr., Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302, is the senior managing director for capital markets at Comerica Securities. She and her husband, Scott, have two children.

Jerry Yaklic, ’88, 329 S. Outer Dr., Bad Axe, MI 48413, is an obstetrician/gynecologist with Lake Huron OB/GYN PLLC, where he is a senior partner. He served four years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force after his residency from 1996 to 2000. Jerry has traveled to Italy and also took a Mediterranean cruise. He and his wife, Kim Lightheart Yaklic, ’89, have been married 15 years and have three children.
