Ruth Lightfoot Cordell, ’39, turned 90 in April. She taught fourth and fifth grade for many years. Ruth has traveled all around the world, beginning when she was a child living in India. She met Gandhi when she was in her teens. She has traveled to the Red Sea, Jerusalem, Italy, Australia, Scandinavia, Iceland, New Zealand, and Fiji. She has also seen the pyramids of Egypt, Mount Vesuvius, the Great Wall of China, and the Taj Mahal. Ruth has two children. She lives in Whitehall.
