Laura Gessford Kiernan, ’01, recently received the John D. Voelker Award, for most outstanding contributions to the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review by a senior associate editor. She will be continuing with the law review next term as a managing associate editor. Laura is working on her J.D., finishing in May 2009. She lives in Lansing.
Erin Marasco, ’01, has completed her Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, and biophysics from the University of Minnesota. She has accepted a senior biochemist position at Cargill Inc. Her husband, Tim Johnson, ’01, has completed his M.B.A. from Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He works in the international division of General Mills. They have a daughter and live in Minneapolis, MN.
Aubrey Thornton Martinson, ’01, is executive director of Chelsea Center for the Arts in Chelsea. She previously worked as managing director of Dance Gallery Foundation, which supports Dance Gallery Studio and Peter Sparling Dance Company. Aubrey is on the steering committee for the Washtenaw County Cultural Plan and is active with the Arts Alliance. She and her husband, Christopher Martinson, ’01, have a daughter. They live in Grass Lake.
Tonya Zimmerman, ’01, works at the Department of Legislative Services in Maryland, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She lives in Annapolis, MD.
