May 2007

Congratulations Karen Alexander, for being awarded the Dining & Hospitality Services Employee of the Month for May 2007. Karen is often the first person people encounter when contacting this department, and she gives a great first impression. The administrative staff truly appreciates all Karen does to make our daily business operate efficiently. Karen is a caring and warm person who exemplifies teamwork and is always willing to do what is asked. Jeff Watson has been with Albion College since May 18, 1989, and currently works in the Grounds Department as a Groundskeeper III and Group Leader. As such he oversees the care and maintenance of the athletic fields, coordinating his work with the needs of faculty, staff, and students. Jeff is known to be exceptionally hard working and dedicated to achieving excellence in everything he does. He has excelled in this role, is a mentor to many staff and students in landscape maintenance, and is an enthusiastic participant in training and continuing education. In the last four seasons, his dedication has contributed greatly to the Morley Fraser Field being named the field of the year by the Michigan Turf Grass Association. Jeff has recently decided to move on to a position in residence hall maintenance. Jeff will be missed in athletics but will make a fine addition to the residence hall maintenance effort. Congratulations Jeff. watson_Jeff
Deb Crittenden has been with the College since 2003. In these short years, Deb has been the “go to” person for all things Business Office and Student Affairs related and always goes the extra mile to help out. Her smile and helpful nature make it a pleasure working with her. Everybody loves her! She remembers customers (even from a short phone conversation) and makes them feel special. She will be missed in the Business Office as she relocates with the Student Affairs Office. Luckily the relocation is just across the hall so her smile and helpful nature won’t be far away. Good luck in your new “home”!
