JANUARY 2011

 January 8th

11:34 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Officers heard an alarm activated somewhere on campus.  The places in the area with alarms were checked.  The alarm could no longer be heard. Disp: Cleared.

11:49 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of loud music in Seaton Hall.  Officers spoke with the occupants and the music has been turned down. Disp: Cleared.

January 11th

8:35 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Five students were seen in the Dow lobby after it had been locked.  Officers spoke with them and found they had been let in by their coach and there was going to be a team meeting. Disp: Unfounded.

January 12th

11:26 am  LARCENY:  A Dow members wallet was taken from a locker at the Dow Center. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

January 16th

11:25 pm  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Incident occurred with a student outside Delta Tau Delta. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

January 17th 

8:17 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  In Lot 24 Officers found the rear passenger door was ajar on a vehicle.  Everything seemed alright and the student was emailed to check the vehicle. Disp: Unfounded.

 8:59 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  In Lot 28, Officers found the door slightly open on a vehicle.  Everything seemed alright and the student was emailed to check the vehicle. Disp: Unfounded.

January 19th

9:12 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report of a male non-student looking for empty bottles near Mitchell Towers.  Officers arrived but could not find anyone as described in the area. Disp: Cleared.

January 21st

9:56 pm  DAMAGE TO PROPERTY:  The glass case that holds the fire extinguisher in south Mitchell Towers has been broken. Disp: Inactive.

11:44 pm  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Incident occurred with a student in Wesley Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

January 22nd

12:38 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Incident occurred with a student who was brought to the Campus Safety Office.  Disp: Closed (Administrative).

12:40  am  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A complaint of loud music at Briton Apartments.  Officers spoke with the occupants and they complied and turned the music down. Disp: Cleared.

1:04 am  FIGHT:  Incident occurred with a non-student at Tau Kappa Epsilon. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

1:18 am  REQUESTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS/BARRED:  A report on some non-students who refused to leave Alpha Tau Omega.  Officers arrived and they complied and left campus. Disp: Cleared.

January 23rd

12:19 pm  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  Incident occurred to a students vehicle parked in Zone 1 sometime between Jan 17 - 22. Disp: Closed (General).

5:36 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of some juveniles in the Dow Center without the member being with them.  Officers arrived and solved the problem.  Disp: Cleared.

January 25th

5:38 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A male non-student was reported looking through the dumpster behind Baldwin Hall.  Officers were unable to located anyone as described in the area. Disp: Closed (General).

January 27th

10:38 am  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  Someone backed into a college van while it was parked in Lot 1. Disp: Closed (General).

1:00 pm  LARCENY:  Items were reported stolen from the Science Complex. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

4:28 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A student reported that someone had come to her apartment, asking if she had been advised about the flu and if anyone was sick.  She said he was not wearing anything to identify him as staff.  Officers found that the college had coordinated people to check on students. Disp: Cleared.

6:12 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  Officers saw two males walking in the Nature Center.  They were students and advised that the Nature Center is closed after dark.  They complied and left. Disp: Closed (General).

8:09 pm  LARCENY:  A student reporte items missing from her room in Dean Hall. Disp: Inactive.

January 28th

12:21 am  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report of someone standing outside Baldwin Hall.  Officers found it was an ABM employee who cleans the building. Disp: Unfounded.

2:09 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  On the Munger lobby camera there were bags in the front lobby.  Officers arrived and found that it was just garbage bags. Disp: Unfounded.

2:26 am  ASSIST ADPS:  City Police has someone breaking into cars parked on city streets.  Officers checked  college lots and the vehicles were secure. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

2:55 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Officers found Goodrich Chapel open and a few students inside, while all campus buildings were suppose to be closed.  They students complied and left.  The building was secured. Disp: Cleared.

2:56 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A possible smell of marijuana was reported in Whitehouse Hall.  Officers arrived and found no odor. Disp: Unfounded.

January 29th

1:55 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Incident occurred with a student in frat alley. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

2:58 am  ASSIST ADPS:  Incident occurred with students near Dean Hall. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

January 31st

3:40 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of people in the Observatory.  Officers arrived and verified they were students and on the list to be in the building. Disp: Unfounded.

February 1st

1:32 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Officers found a vehicle in Lot 1 with the drivers door standing open.  The student was contacted. Disp: Closed (General). 

2:14 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Officers found a vehicle in Lot 4 with the drivers door ajar.  The student was contacted and advised the handle was broke and probably hadn't shut completely. Disp: Closed (General).

9:26 am  LARCENY:  Items were reported missing from the Science Complex. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

7:45 pm  ASSIST ADPS:  Officers contacted students to move their vehicles off the city streets or they will be towed, due to blizzard warnings.  An email had also been sent earlier about this issue. Disp: Cleared.

February 3rd

8:45 am  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  A Grounds employee was plowing snow and put a scratch on the drivers door of a students vehicle that was  parked behind Seaton Hall. Disp: Cleared.

9:56 am  LARCENY:  Items last seen on 1/28/11 were reported stolen from the Science Complex. Disp: Inactive.

February 4th

1:34 am  HARASSMENT:  Inappropriate drawings were found on a students vehicle in Lot 4. Disp: inactive.

10:34 pm  DISTURBANCE:  A report of students throwing snowballs and hitting vehicles parked in Lot 18.  Officers arrived and the students had already left the area. Disp: Cleared.

10:54 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of the possible smell of marijuana in Wesley Hall.  Officers could no locate any source of the odor. Disp: Unfounded.

February 5th

12:05 am  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of loud music in The Mae.  Officers arrived and the occupants of the room complied and turned down the music. Disp: Cleared.

2:02 am  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  At The Mae there was broken glass and a smashed brick at the back door. Disp: Inactive.

11:51 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A television was thrown from a window in Sigma Nu into frat alley. Disp: Cleared.

11:54 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  Students were banging on pots and pans in frat alley.  Officers found they were from Sigma Nu and chanting a song.   They complied and returned to Sigma Nu. Disp: Cleared.

February 6th

1:25 am  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of loud music at Munger Apartments.  Officers spoke with the residents and they complied and turned down the music. Disp: Cleared.

3:38 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report from Wesley Hall about the smell of marijuana.  Officers arrived but could not find anything. Disp: Unfounded.

6:31 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report from a student that his wallet was taken from the laundry room in Wesley Hall.  He later called and said a friend returned the wallet to him and there was nothing missing. Disp: Closed (General).

7:28 pm HEALTH AND SAFETY:  Incident occurred at Wesley Hall. Disp: Inactive.

February 7th

3:11 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A student reported someone put a city parking on his vehicle that was written to another car.  Campus Safety took the ticket and contacted ADPS. Disp: Cleared.

10:20 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A student in Whitehouse Hall reported someone turned the door handle to her room and she could hear voices. Officers advised her that Facilities was checking and adjusting loose door handles. Disp: unfounded.

 February 8th

2:16 pm  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  An employee put a small scratch on a students vehicle, while plowing now in Lot 20. Disp: Closed (General).

3:56 pm  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  A student's drivers side mirror is off the vehicle and was found on the ground in Lot 14. Disp: Inactive.

 February 9th

8:51 am  DISTRUBANCE:  A report of a possible fight between a boyfriend/girlfriend in a vehicle near Baldwin Hall.  Officers spoke with them and they said there was no fight. Disp: Cleared.

8:11 pm  LARCENY:  A student reported a drill was taken from his backpack while at the Science Complex. Disp: Inactive

11:19 pm  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  A student was hit by a vehicle while walking behind Seaton Hall towards Cass Street. Disp: Close3d (Criminal). 

February 11th

11:47 am  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  A report of a train that hit a Grounds Dept tractor on the Erie Street track near the Dow Center. Dusp: Closed (General). 

3:45 pm  LARCENY:  Items were taken from the Science Complex on Feb. 4, 2011. Disp: Inactive.

February 12th

8:30 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of an odor of marijuana in Wesley Hall.  Officers spoke with some students, but could not locate any smell of marijuana. Disp: Closed (General).

10:24 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A ladder was found near a resident hall.  Officers placed it in the garage. Disp: Unfounded.

February 13th

6:03 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  An unknown male came into Campus Safety and asked what was on the menu at Baldwin Hall and their hours.  He then went to Baldwin Hall and asked the same questions then left the building. Disp: Closed (General).

February 14th

11:50 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of two vehicle in Lot 18 with the gas caps off.  Both owners were contacted and said they had just put gas in and probably forgot to put the cap on. Disp: Unfounded.

9:21 pm  A report from the Science Complex that an older male was seen trying to get into some of the offices.  Officers responded but were unable to find the person. Disp: Inactive.

February 15th

1:35 am  NOISE COMPLAINT:  Incident occurred at Burns Street Apartments.  Officers spoke with the occupants of a room and they said they would keep the noise down. Disp: Cleared.

1:59 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Officers heard a loud noise near the Frats.  They saw someone standing by a vehicle, then he headed off campus.  Officers could not find what the noise had been. Disp: Unfounded.

February 16th

2:02 am  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  ADPS notified Campus Safety of someone they should be aware of, walking down Erie Street, towards his house.  Officer followed him until he was off campus. Disp: Cleared. 

10:13 am  SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:   Officers found a an old permit in Lot 24 issued to a different vehicle than whats on file.  It has no current permit. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

February 17th

12:10 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATIONS:  The handicap signs that belong in the Baldwin parking lot had been moved to the middle of the street, blocking traffic.  Officers moved the signs back to their proper location. Disp: Cleared.

1:06 am  NOISE COMPLAINT:  Incident occurred in Whitehouse Hall.  Officers spoke with the residents and advised to keep the noise down. Disp: cleared.

3:10 pm  ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  Incident occurred in Seaton Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

6:58 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report of a male, hanging around Wesley Hall and asking to get let inside.  Officers arrived but could not locate him. Disp: Cleared.

February 18th

10:25 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report that some of the items missing from the Science Complex were found. Disp: Inactive.

2:15 pm  LARCENY:  Two students from Wesley Hall reported that they both had their I-Pod Touch stolen from their rooms. Disp: Inactive.

February 19th

10:29 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report that there were people hanging out of the 2nd and 3rd floor window at Sigma Nu.  Officers spoke with them and told them to stay inside. Disp: Cleared.

4:57 pm  SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION:  A report of a gas smell coming from a heater in Wesley Hall.  Officers checked the room and found nothing wrong.  Officers saw a puddle of gas in the driveway and determined the smell was coming in through the window. Disp: Cleared.

6:30 pm  SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:   A vehicle was found at the corner of Park/Michigan with the passenger door standing open and no one around.  Officers found power tools inside, checked houses in the area and found the owner, who came and closed the door. Disp: Unfounded.

 10:30 pm  REQUESTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS/BARRED:  Two non-students had made several attempts to enter Delta Sigma Phi, without permission and were harassing students in the area.  They were barred from campus. Disp: Closed (General).

11:22 pm  ALCOHOL  VIOLATION:  Incident occurred with a student at Sigma Nu. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

February 20th

12:18 am  IRRESPONSIBLE STUDENT ACTION:  Multiple objects were being thrown from the windows of Sigma Nu. Disp: Inactive.

12:45 am  DISTURBANCE:  A student was seen shoving several people while at Delta Sigma Phi. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

12:55 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Incident occurred at Delta Sigma Phi. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

1:19 am  DISTURBANCE:  Two student were seen having an argument outside Whitehouse Hall. Disp: Cleared.

1:54 am  DISTURBANCE:  A report of a possible fight at Sigma Nu.  Officer found a group had bee wrestling when someone became angry.  The wrestling has stopped and the situation is calmed down. Disp: cleared.

9:28 pm  ASSIST ADPS:  A large tree has fallen across the road near the Visual Arts Building. Disp: Closed (General).

February 22nd

9:01 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A vehicle was towing a car through campus and there was a concern about safety because it was going on or near the sidewalks.  Officers found that they had talked with Albion Police and it is almost off campus. Disp: Unfounded

9:24 pm  LARCENY:  A students laptop and graphics caculator was stolen from the Science Complex. Disp: Inactive.

 February 23rd

3:07 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A student report the Astronomy Club footlocker is missing from the Science Complex. Disp: Inactive.

5:18 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A student reported someone roaming around the Science Complex.  Officers located him and he was identified as a student. Disp: Unfounded.

9:31 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A smell of marijuana was reported in Seaton Hall but the source was not located. Disp: Cleared.

11:45 pm  ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  Incident occurred in Whitehouse Hall. Disp: Closed (administrative). 

February 24th

2:35 pm  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  Incident occurred in Lot 15.  While plowing snow they backed into the cars bumper. Disp: Cleared.

7:23 pm  ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  Incident occurred in Seaton Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

9:26 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A smell of marijuana was reported in Whitehouse Hall but the source was not located. Disp: Cleared.

 February 25th

7:19 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  An older man was reported walking around Whitehouse Hall.  Officers did a complete walkthrough but did not located anyone as described. Disp: Cleared. 

8:46 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report of a middle aged man with a briefcase was trying to open a door at the Science Complex.  Officers checked the area and did a walkthrough but did not find anyone. Disp: Cleared.

11:40 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report from Tau Kappa Epsilon on a non-student hanging around the fraternity area.  Officers found no one around that matched the description that was given. Disp: Cleared.

February 26th

12:04 am  BURGLARY:  The kitchen window was broken out and the Culligan water system taken from Tau Kappa Epsilon. Disp: Inactive.

10:25 am  LARCENY:  A student purse was turned in at the Campus Safety Office by a city resident.  It was taken while at  Alpha Tau Omega. Disp: Inactive.

February 27th

12:09 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Incident occurred at Whitehouse Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

1:18 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Incident occurred at Delta Tau Delta. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

2:28 am  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A students guest was asked to leave but would not.  Officers arrived at the Fiske Annex and located his car but he was not around. Disp: Cleared. 

8:42 am  SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:  A vehicle was found running in Lot 8 with the doors unlocked and no one inside.  The driver came out about 10 minutes later. Disp: Unfounded.

12:30 pm  REQUESTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS/BARRED:  A students unwanted guest arrived at Campus Safety and wanted his cell phone from the Fiske Annex.  Officers did not find his cell phone there but it was later found at Alpha Tua Omega.  He was allowed to come pick up the phone but is barred from campus. Disp: Cleared.

7:30 pm  SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION:  A student reported the smell of gas between Campus Safety and Seaton Hall.  Officers check and said they could faintly smell a diesel odor but no natural gas odor. Disp: Unfounded.

2:28 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report that eggs had been thrown at the Delta Tau Delta house.  Officers found no one in the area. Disp: Inactive..

March 6th

10:24 pm  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  A security camera was pulled down at Munger Apartments. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

March 9th

11:09 am  LARCENY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE:  A staff member reported that items were taken from his vehicle sometime on Monday March 7th. Disp: Inacative.

 March 17th

9:48 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Incident occurred in Wesley Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

4:53 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  Disruptive students were reported at the baseball game. Disp: Cleared. 

6:15 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A city resident reported loud music at the fraternities.  Officers spoke with members from Tau Kappa Epsilon, Sigma Nu and Sigma Chi and they all turned down the music. Disp: Cleared.

8:34 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of loud noise at Munger Apartments.  Officers found the building quiet. Disp: Cleared.

9:57 pm  ASSIST ADPS:  City Police stopped a students vehicle and found marijuana. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

10:24 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A stairwell window screen was found laying on the floor in Mitchell Towers.  Officers put the screen back in. disp: Cleared.

March 18th

1:28 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A student reported that she had been followed while putting posters up in various buildings around campus.  Officers could not locate anyone fitting the description. Disp: Cleared 

 10:06 pm  ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  A smell of marijuana was reported in Seaton Hall. Disp: Inactive.

March 19th

1:08 am  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of loud music at Sigma Nu.  Officers spoke with the residents and they complied and turned it off. Disp: cleared.

2:10 am  ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  Incident occurred in Seaton Hall. disp: Closed (Criminal).

9:08 am  SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION:  A report of a strange smell in the Visual Arts Building lobby.  Officers could not locate any smell but had Facilities check.  Nothing was located. Disp: Unfounded.

6:20 pm  TRESPASSING:  Two kids were reported skateboarding on the library steps.  Officers found them near Kresge Gym and told them not to skateboard. Disp: Cleared. 

March 20th

7:57 pm  ASSIST ADPS:  Police had stopped a student who was driving without a license. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

March 21st

3:23 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report of two men in the Kellogg Center, asking about community service but talking to girls that walk by.  Officers checked the area and found no one as described. Disp: Cleared. 

March 22nd

9:24 pm  DAMAGE TO PROPERTY:  A broken window was reported at 1112 Porter Annex. Disp: Inactrive.

March 25th

 2.57 am  ASSIST ADPS:  City Police were responding to Wesley Hall for a female needing assistance. Disp: Cleared.

1:26 pm  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  A college vehicle tailgate hit into a person. Disp: Closed (General).

8:55 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A students vehicle was found with the gas cap off while parked in Lot 22. Disp: Cleared.

9:23 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of someone trying to get into the Fiske Annex.  Officers arrived and found the doors secure. Disp: Cleared.

9:44 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A non-student was seen leaving Sigma Chi and no one knew who he was.  Officers checked campus and could not find anyone fitting the description. Disp: Cleared.

 March 26th

11:25 pm  REQUESTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS/BARRED:  A non-student was found intoxicated and disorderly at Sigma Chi. Disp: Closed (Crimianl).

March 27th

12:05 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Incident occurred at Sigma Nu. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

2:09 am  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  A glass bottle was thrown and damaged the windshield of a college vehicle. Disp: closed (Administrative).

March 28th

3:10 pm  DAMAGE TO PROPERTY:  Two graphite art exhibits were possibly damaged in the Visual Arts Building. Disp: Inactive.

March 29th

5:50 am  LARCENY:  Two bikes were taken from the bike rack at Wesley Hall. Disp: closed (Criminal).

5:20 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Someone tried to make a purchase over the phone using many different credit cards. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

9:39 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A person was seen standing at the entrance of Goodrich Chapel.  Officers spoke with him and found he was waiting for a student. Disp: Unfounded.

11:44 pm  HARASSMENT:  A student reported that she was receiving several harassing calls on her cell phone. Disp: Cleared. 

March 30th

3:18 pm  FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES:  Incident occurred on March 29, at the Bookstore when someone tried to make a purchase by phone, using many different credit cards. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

March 31st

1:53 am  ASSIST ADPS:  A student at Wesley Hall reported that she had google searched her name and it showed credit card information. Disp: Inactive.

2:42 pm  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  A vehicle backed into a van belonging to a floor covering company, while parking in Lot 18. Disp: Cleared.

4:34 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A group of juveniles was walking a dog on Hannah Street and yelling at students as they went by.  Officers found them near Goodrich Chapel as they were leaving campus.  City Police were contacted. Disp: Cleared

April 10th

1:09 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Incident occurred with a non student at Delta Tau Delta. Disp: closed (Administrative)

1:58 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of loud music and yelling at Sigma Chi.  Officers spoke with the residents and they agreed to turn down the music. Disp: Cleared.

April 11th

11:39 pm  ASSIST ADPS:  City Police found a students vehicle in the park, still running and no one was around.  Officers were unable to contact him.  As the city was getting ready to tow the vehicle, the student showed up. Disp: Unfounded.

4:14 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of someone standing outside Whitehouse Hall and it looked like he was attempting to hide.  Officers arrived and saw him enter the building using a keycard.  The area was checked and no one else was around. Disp: Unfounded. 

6:26 pm  LARCENY:  A student reported his wallet had been stolen from his room in Seaton Hall. Disp: Inactive.

10:27 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of loud music at Briton Apartments.  Officers arrived and found the area quiet but made the occupants aware of the complaint. Disp: Cleared.

12:32 pm  REQUESTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS/BARRED:  A report of non-student inside Kresge Gym playing basketball.  Officers arrived and informed them the gym was not open for just anyone to use.  They complied and left campus. Disp: Cleared.

12:27 am  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of loud noise at Delta Sigma Phi. Disp: Cleared

12:48 am  DISTURBANCE:  A report that there was a group of males on the front porch of Delta Sigma Phi, and they refused to leave.  Officers arrived and they complied and left. Disp: Cleared.

1:14 am  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of loud noise coming from Delta Sigma Phi.  Officers arrived and contact the President of the fraternity, who said he will take care of the problem. Disp: Cleared.

April 16th

1:39 am  DISTURBANCE:  There was a report of several unwanted non-student on the porch of Sigma Nu.  They left prior to the officers arrival. Disp: Cleared.

10:28 am  LARCENY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE:  A report of a front side window being smashed and an I-Pod taken from a vehicle while parked in Lot 8. Disp: Inactive.

April 17th

12:01 am  DISTURBANCE:  There was an unwanted guest in Tau Kappa Epsilon.  Officers arrived and the person complied and left the fraternity. Disp: Cleared.

1:35 am  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report of two student entering the Kellogg Center while it was closed.  A walkthrough was completed and no one was in the building.  All doors were found secure. Disp: Unfounded.

April 18th

12:34 am  LARCENY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE:  Officers found a vehicle in Lot 23 with it's hazard lights flashing and the dashboard had been tampered with. Disp: Disp: Closed (Criminal).

3:28 pm  LARCENY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE:  Sunglasses had been stolen from a vehicle parked in Lot 12, sometime after April 15th. Disp: closed (Criminal).

11:30 am  HARASSMENT:  Two students reported they were getting unwanted phone calls from their roommates ex-boyfriend. Disp: Closed (General).

11:26 pm  SEXUAL ASSAULT:  Incident occurred April 15th at Delta Sigma Phi. Disp: Inactive.

April 20th

2:54 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A student reported his vehicle parked in Lot 23 and things were thrown around inside, but nothing appeared to be stolen. Disp: Inactive.

6:00 pm  FIRE:  A report of smoke coming from the trash can near the front of Baldwin Hall.  Officers responded and found it was caused by a cigarette being thrown in the trash can.  They were able to put the fire out. Disp: Cleared.

 11:09 pm  ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  A report of the smell of marijuana in Whitehouse Hall.  The cause of the odor could not be located. Disp: Inactive.

April 21st

12:32 am  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of loud noise at Sigma Chi.  Officers arrived and the residents complied and turned down their music. Disp: Cleared.

3:48 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A group of juveniles were reported to be fighting near the library.  Officers arrived and found that the group had left campus. Disp: Cleared. 

11:40 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of a loud party at Burn Street Apartments.  Officers spoke with the residents and they complied and turned down the music and said they would quit yelling. Disp: Cleared.

5:17 pm  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  Officers witnessed an accident on Cass Street, near Hannah.  The student left the scene and didn't come back.  ADPS was called. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

April 28th

1:00 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A student reported she had lost her ID about 5 days ago, and an older man had just tried to use it to get into Wesley Hall.  It was determined that the man was the father of a student and was helping her move out. Disp: Unfounded.

April 29th

7:18 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of loud music at Tau Kappa Epsilon.  Officers spoke with the president, who turned down the music. Disp: Cleared.

10:04 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A student reported someone had thrown a water balloon at her car while it was parked in Lot 28.  She said there was no one around and there was no damage to her vehicle. Disp: Cleared.

11:40 pm  SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:  Three students came to Campus Safety and reported a vehicle had been following them since they left the highway.  ADPS was called because the car parked on Cass Street, then left.  The driver spoke with officers and admitted to following the students because they had flipped him off. Disp: Cleared.

April 30th

1:48 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of a group of people turning over recycling bins in the area of The Mae.  They were seen walking and shouting towards Mitchell Towers.  Officers found no one in the area. Disp: Cleared.

6:10 pm  LARCENY:  A student reported his golf clubs had been stolen from Alpha Tau Omega's mail room. Disp: Inactive.

11:05 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Three calls were received about a keg in a room at Delta Tau Delta.  Officers spoke with the members and did a walkthrough and no keg was found. Disp: Cleared.

May 2nd

5:09 pm  MALICIOUS ALARM ACTIVATION:  The alarm was activated at Wesley Hall. Disp: Inactive. 

8:51 pm  LARCENY:  A student reported his I-Pod had been stolen from his room in Wesley Hall a couple weeks ago. Closed (Criminal).

11:36 pm  SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:  A report of a vehicle that had driven several time through the circle at Wesley Hall and screaming loudly. Officers arrived and stayed in the area, but did not see the vehicle return. Disp: Cleared.

11:54 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of hearing a female screaming, possibly from the Dow area.  Officers checked the entire Dow area and did not find or hear anyone. Disp: Cleared.

May 3rd

12:04 am  ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  A report from Wesley Hall of the smell of marijuana outside the ground floor windows.  Officers found students smoking cigarettes outside, but there was no one else around.   The students complied and moved away from the windows. Disp: Unfounded. 

12:58 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report that seven students were seen leaving the Gym, but had not been inside with the crew were cleaning.  Officers saw the students on the Quad, but they ran off.  Officers found three open manholes and a gate, which have all been secured. Disp: Inactive.

10:00 am  LARCENY:  A license plate is missing from a students vehicle that was parked in Lot 15. Disp: Inactive.

4:11 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report of two high school males wandering around the Science Complex.  Officers did a complete walkthrough and could not find anyone fitting the descriptions. Disp: Cleared.

2:28 pm  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  A staff member hit another staff vehicle while parking on Cass Street. Disp: Closed (General).

8:05 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A group of Alpha Tau Omega seniors were found on the football field, hanging out for one last time before graduation. Disp: Cleared.

May 7th

5:49 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A wooden bench was found inside Sigma Nu, that doesn't belong to them.  Officers removed it and took it to the Grounds Department. Disp: Cleared.

May 8th

8:50 am  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  A window near the main entrance of the Dow Center was found damaged. Disp: Closed (General).

12:47 am  DISTURBANCE:  A report that Delta Sigma Phi members were throwing bottles at the Sigma Chi house.  Officers arrived and made the members go into their own fraternities.  There was not broken glass found in the area. Disp: Cleared.

2:12 am  DISTURBANCE:  A report of students yelling at the Porter Street Annex.  Officers arrived, spoke with them and they complied and went inside. Disp: Cleared.

May 6th

7:11 pm  REQUESTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS/BARRED:  People were seen going through the dumpsters in frat alley.  Officers found no one in the area. Disp: Cleared.

9:33 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Someone was seen entering Alpha Tau Omega.  Officers did a complete walkthrough, found the doors secure and no one inside. Disp: Cleared.

10:00 pm  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  An employee hit a students vehicle while backing into a parking space at Munger Apartments. Disp: Closed ( Non-Administrative).

May 8th

10:30 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  An employee reported a beeping sound coming from the Grounds Building.  Officers arrived and found it was a radio that had been left on in one of the Kabotas, and the battery was going dead.  The radio was turned off. Disp: Unfounded.

May 10th

1:20 am  SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION:  A report of the smell of gas at Burns Street Apartments.  Officers arrived, checked the apartment and advised everything was alright. Disp: Unfounded.

May 11th

12:01 am  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  Students were found near the Dow Center.  Damage was done to the door near the Tennis Center. Disp: Closed ( Inactive).

May 19th

6:53 am  DAMAGE TO PROPERTY:  Officers found the glass broken in a exterior door at Olin Hall. Disp: Closed ( Inactive).

May 21st

6:10 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  The Dow Center worker reported there were people playing basketball in the fieldhouse who did not enter through the main entrance.  Officers arrived and made them sign in at the desk. Disp: Cleared.

May 23rd

1:47 pm  SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:  A report of a vehicle pulling into frat alley with heavey equipment.  Officers found it was the garbage company bringing back a dumpster. Disp: Unfounded.

May 30th

2:55 am  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  A mirror in the Dow Center pool locker room was found broken. Disp: Closed ( Inactive).

June 1st

5:16 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report of a male trying to get into the fraternities.  Officers arrived and found a city resident in the area.  He ran from officers and left campus. Disp: Cleared.

June 4th

6:12 pm  REQUESTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS/BARRED:  A Dow worker reported that a male entered the building, did not have an ID card and walked past her, into the fieldhouse.  Officers arrived and spoke with the man who identified himself.  He apologized and left campus. Disp: Cleared.

June 7th

7:29 pm  SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:  A vehicle was reported to be parked sideways on the ramp at the library.  Officers arrived and identified the owner as a janitorial employee.

June 9th

 1:31 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of people behind the Dow Center.  Officers arrived, checked the area and could not locate anyone.

June 11th

1:13 pm  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  An employee backed her vehicle into a utility trailer while in Lot 18.

June 13th

11:30 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Officers heard screaming coming from the area of Mitchell Towers.  On arrival, they found members of a football camp throwing things in the hallway and knocking into walls.  Officers spoke with the coach and the campers complied to be quiet.  There did not seem to be any damage.

June 15th

3:36 am  DAMAGE TO PROPERTY:  The fence behind frat alley appears to have been hit.

June 19th

10:38 am  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  An employee reported that a student had hit into her vehicle with a bike while parked on the street, sometime Friday June 15th.

8:06 am  IRRESPONSIBLE STUDENT ACTION:  Incident occurred at Munger Apartments.

June 24th

1:30 am  UNLAWFUL DRIVING AWAY OF AN AUTOMOBILE:  A college vehicle was found near Superior Street.  It was driven back to campus.

 June 28th

11:36 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of fireworks being set off outside Have House.  Officers talked with the people and they complied and went inside.

July 12th

12:13 am  SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:  A truck was reported to be seen several times driving around campus with its hazards on.  Officers checked campus and could not find the vehicle anywhere.

July 16th

10:01 pm  LARCENY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE:  An employee reported that her vehicle had been broken into and ransacked while parked in Lot 18.

July 21st

5:03 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A city resident reported some juveniles were carelessly riding bikes in Lot 4 and one had hit into a garage door.  Officers arrived but found no one in the area.

July 22nd

11:23 pm  LARCENY:  A campers laptop was stolen from Baldwin Hall.

July 23rd

12:16 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A man was in the Dow Center weight room and is not suppose to be there.  ADPS responded and barred him from campus.
