Why Should You Join a Sorority?

Becoming a member in a sorority gives you countless opportunities to expand and enrich your Albion College experience, not mention giving you the chance to make life long friends. There are seven Panhellenic Council sororities here at Albion College, each one offering our female students the chance to take on leadership positions, scholastic opportunities, become involved in community service, and to participate in All-Greek events, such as Derby Days, Anchor-splash, and Greek Week.

Alpha Xi Delta looks for outstanding women who seek excellence and improvement in their lives and community. The unique individualism of each sister is encouraged in our sorority, and we are proud to have a diverse chapter, consisting of scholars, athletes, musicians, actors, and artists, all the while maintaining a strong unity with each other by sharing common ideals and goals. We look for outgoing potential new members who possess exemplary characteristics, such as leadership, kindness, compassion for helping others, academic commitment, and strong personal goals.
