Philanthropy

Alpha Xi Delta Choose Children is an umbrella group organization.  Our philanthropy extends to any activity or work with children with our concentration on literacy.  We are involved heavily in Albion with the elementary schools, Washington Gardner and Harrington.  We also work at a shelter in Battle Creek for children who are in need of extra attention during rough times in their lives.  Our largest philanthropy event is the Annual Fall Festival/Turkey Trot.  This event brings in money that we use to purchase books to bring into the elementary schools, read with the children, and have them take home to read to their parents.  Our philanthropy work strengthens the relationship on campus into the community and really improves our experiences as sisters with children.
