FINANCIAL AID HOMEPAGE

Students and their families know that a college education is an investment that pays out a lifetime of rewards. In the months ahead, we will work together – your family and Albion College – to determine what your investment will be. Whether your family has very high need, or is expecting less need-based aid, the process is the same and is built upon three basic principles: time, content, and trust.

During the months ahead, you will tell us more about your personal achievements, external scholarships and awards, and we will be able to tell you more about your eligibility for academic and talent-based scholarships here at Albion. It takes a reasonable amount of time to identify the various scholarships, grants, low-interest loans, campus work opportunities and other sources of aid that may comprise the content of your final package. Finally, we trust that you will tell us all you can about your achievements and eligibility for scholarships and awards outside of Albion College in a timely manner. In turn, we ask that you trust our staff to work hard to put together a financial package that meets your demonstrated need and/or recognizes your academic talent. Working together, we’ll assemble a financial aid award that will demonstrate our commitment to you, and your affirmation of your investment in Albion.

The specific amount of scholarship or grant you can expect will depend upon your grades, test scores, special achievements, financial need and various other factors we’ll both discover soon. We pledge to make this process as easy and stress-free as possible. What can you do to help? As a student, you can reduce the total cost of your education by studying hard, getting good grades, and earning a scholarship you and your family can be proud of!
