Why did you choose Albion?
When I visited Albion my senior year of high school, it just felt right, like this is where I belonged. When deciding on schools, I kept thinking about that feeling and I just knew Albion was the place for me.

What is your best Albion memory or experience?
I think it would have to be the moment I moved into Mitchell Towers my sophomore year. I was living with two of my best friends, and I had this feeling of, "I'm back. Back where I belong, and it feels great to be back." That feeling of belonging has continued with me throughout my time here at Albion. It's a place that has become my home. That, I think, is the best experience Albion (or any college/university for that matter) can offer.

What are your future plans?
I want to either head to graduate school for psychology, or teach social studies in a high school.

How have financial aid and scholarships helped you?
Without financial aid and scholarships, attending Albion wouldn't be an option for me. It's because of the financial aid and scholarships I receive that Albion is even in my realm of possibilities.

How would you finish this sentence: "Because you give to Albion, I'm able to ...
...get the best education possible, for me, and have experiences that I couldn't get anywhere else.

Majors: Psychology with minors in Chemistry and Cell and Molecular Biology

Campus Activities: Delta Gamma, Student Alumni Association, Phi Epsilon Kappa Health Fraternity, Global Medical Brigades, Global Water Brigades, Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology, Service Project Appalachia, and a resident assistant.

Why did you choose Albion?
I chose Albion because of the strong academics and the many opportunities on campus. At Albion, I have the opportunity to be more than a number in a classroom, or a random face on the Quad.

What is your best Albion memory or experience?
All of my best Albion memories stem from the amazing people I have met here. From late night Makin’ Crepes runs to all-day study sessions in the Tiers in Stockwell Library, my Albion experience has been shaped by the friends I have made. I love that it is practically impossible to walk across campus and not say hello to at least three people on the journey. The sense of community within the college, and with alumni, has truly made my experience here wonderful.

What are your future plans?
After Albion I plan to attend graduate school for psychology, in either clinical psychology or in a research setting.

How have financial aid and scholarships helped you?
Financial aid and scholarship have made it possible for me to attend Albion. Without the generosity of donors, there is no way I would be able to get the liberal arts education that has allowed me to succeed in the classroom, and has encouraged me to think critically and explore interests outside of my major.

How would you finish this sentence: "Because you give to Albion, I'm able to ...
...discover who I am, and who I want to become. I am able to take leadership roles and partake in campus activities that I could have never experienced at another college.

Campus Activities: Football, Alpha Tau Omega, Gamma Sigma Alpha (National Greek Academic Honor Society), Omicron Delta Epsilon (National Greek Economics Honors Society), Member of Lambda Pi Eta (National Communication Association)

Why did you choose Albion?
I chose Albion because of the opportunities it provided both academically and athletically.

What is your best Albion memory or experience?
My best Albion experience has been my involvement with the First Year Underrepresented Student Mentoring Program. This opportunity has provided me the privilege of helping and teaching others, while also providing me an opportunity to learn from others' experiences.

What are your future plans?
My future plans include heading to graduate school, finding a career in marketing or management, and to travel the world to broaden my perspective.

How have financial aid and scholarships helped you?
My family ran into some serious financial issues and I almost was unable to come back to school my junior year. I would not be at Albion if it weren't for the college's scholarships and financial aid services.

How would you finish this sentence: "Because you give to Albion, I'm able to ...
...have opportunities that many of my peers from home do not have. Because of you I have been able to be a leader within a variety of organizations, both on and off campus. My time at Albion has helped me grow as a person, and your contributions have directly contributed to my success and access to opportunities. I am forever grateful for that!

Hometown: Indianapolis, Indiana
Major: Geology
Campus Activities: Hillel, Theatre, Geology Club, Interfaith group

Why did you choose Albion?
I came to Albion because I felt I could do things at Albion that I could not do anywhere else (and I have). Albion felt like home from the first moment I came to campus as a high school student. Albion has the small classes that allow for more in-depth work associated with the liberal arts, but also has the opportunities you think you could only get at a big school.

What is your best Albion memory or experience?
During finals my sophomore year, a group of friends and I were in the Science Center studying. It was getting late, and the many hours of studying we're getting to us. At some point around midnight, we all lost it and broke out in laughter at some thing none of us can remember. For some time, we were all just laughing and joking with each other and forgetting about the massive amount of work we had.

What are your future plans?
I am looking into becoming an outdoor mountaineering guide, and combining that with my study of geology in a way to help expand the science in some of the most extreme environments on Earth.

How have financial aid and scholarships helped you?
The scholarship I got from Albion was amazing, and to have received it for my academics was a big honor -- and a big part of helping me come to Albion. For many of my friends, scholarships and financial aid have been the reason they are able to come to Albion, and most of those people have become my best friends.

How would you finish this sentence: "Because you give to Albion, I'm able to ...
...explore ideas and topics that I never thought I would experience, and that now have become a big part of my life.
