Education:  B.A., History, Albion College, 2006

Hometown:  Eastpointe, Mich.; East Detroit High School

Hobbies/Fun Facts:  I'm an avid sports fan, especially rooting for the Detroit Tigers. My favorite place to take a vacation is Comerica Park. I'm very close to my family and spend as much time as possible with my parents, grandparents, sibling, aunts, uncles and cousins. I love coffee and you can find me often listening to music, especially John Mayer.

What makes Albion College special to you?  Albion is a family and a community. The faculty and staff get involved beyond their job descriptions. It isn't uncommon to see your professors at sporting events, musical concerts, plays and involved behind the scenes. Many faculty and staff are involved as advisors to student organizations.

Favorite Albion Moments:  Participating in the 2005 Holocaust Studies Program Service-Learning Project in Poland, living in the Cass St. House, participating in Union Board, the incredible personal attention I received from the History and Political Science faculty, making lifelong friends, traveling to New Orleans for a week of relief work six months after Hurricane Katrina, working with an amazing staff of co-workers and friends at the Bonta Admission Center.

Best College Search Tip:  When you find the right college, you should have a feeling that you know the place feels like a home away from home. Remember that you will be choosing a college, a home and a community. Each college has a culture—make sure that you enjoy it and feel comfortable in it. While searching for a college, spend time with people beyond the admission office. Get to know current students, faculty, program directors, and athletic coaches. These are the people that will help shape your experience for the next four years.  When you are visiting colleges, know that if you can imagine yourself being one of the students you meet during your visit, then it is probably the right school for you.
