Pursuing medicine—and contemporary fiction
Majors: Biology, English
Institute for Premedical Professions and Health Sciences, Muslim Student Association
Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to become a doctor. But at Albion, I also have a major in English because I'm really interested in contemporary fiction. I spent a semester in Costa Rica studying tropical medicine, global health, and Spanish, and working with patients and doctors in urban and rural settings. I'm involved in the Muslim Student Organization and enjoy engaging in interfaith dialogue with my fellow classmates. I came to Albion for the liberal arts education—I want my knowledge and my career to be more than just science.
