Connecting fitness and function
Major: Athletic Training
Sigma Chi fraternity, varsity men's soccer, Harrington Elementary School mentor, human gross anatomy teaching assistant
Through Albion and the athletic training program, I have conducted research on the relationship between cardiovascular fitness and cognitive ability. Under maximal physical exertion, we witnessed that during exercise—and specifically incremental exercise—Albion College athletes' cognitive processes became very efficient and problem-solving was much more accurate. I also am very thankful for the fantastic internship I was able to obtain with the Cleveland Browns, where I was able to apply the knowledge gained and obtain invaluable work experience. My experiences, professors, family, and friends have all helped me grow as a student and as a person while here at Albion.
