Alumni/Parent Admission Volunteers
As an Albion College alum or a parent of a current Albion student (or both!), you can play a special role in the work of the Admission Office.
Your connection to Albion already runs deep, and one of the best ways to show it is by reaching out to the next class of Albion students and their families. Your perspective and passion can make a profound difference in a student's decision to choose Albion.
You can make an impact in a number of ways:
Host a prospective student event at your home or in your area.
Represent Albion at a local college fair.
Attend a recruitment event in your area to meet and encourage prospective students and families.
Offer helpful information about local high schools and community programs to your area's admission counselor.
Provide personal outreach via a phone call or email to admitted students in your area.
Are you in? We hope so! Get things started by completing our volunteer form below, and an Admission Office representative will be in touch with you promptly. If you have questions about the program, call the Admission Office at 800/858-6770.
We look forward to hearing from—and working with—you!

Hobbies/Fun Facts: I have taken up running and most recently I ran my first half-marathon in Traverse City, MI. Traveling is always something that I have enjoyed doing. My favorite place that I visited was Rome, Italy. It was so cool to walk around the Roman Colosseum. My all-time favorite thing to do is to spend time with my family.
What makes Albion College special to you? I started out at a community college and then transferred to a four-year institution to complete my bachelor's degree. Albion has given me the opportunity to work with transfer students in order to help them make the transition to a four-year institution as smoothly as possible. I remember what the transfer process was like for me and I want to help transfer students as they go through the process of finding the right fit for them.
Favorite Albion Moment: The first time that I toured campus. The campus was so beautiful with all of the trees and landscaping. I was amazed at how friendly and welcoming everyone was during my tour. The people at Albion College really maintain a family-like atmosphere.
Best College Search Tip: Do your research. Find out which schools offer the programs that you are interested in, the types of scholarships available, and how well your credits will transfer into the institution you are researching. As you narrow down your list of schools, be sure to visit the campus to make sure that it is the right fit for you.

What Makes Albion College Special to You? Albion is part of my family. All my brothers graduated from here and my wife is the Albion College Cheerleading Coach. Albion is a wonderful place to work and raise my two sons. My best friends, my family and my professional career all are connected to Albion. The faculty, staff and students make the College a magical place.

Best College Search Tip: Take your time. Research. Visit. Listen. Ask Questions. Make a decision that is best for you!

Hobbies/Fun Facts: I enjoy spending time with my daughter. I also like golfing, gardening, crafting, canoeing down the K-zoo river, and reading.

Favorite Albion Moments: Watching Michael Thomas hit a leaning three-pointer at the buzzer to beat John Carroll 80-79 and move on to the sectional finals in March 2005. I also enjoy a tradition I started called Soup Sundays. On Sundays we have our Albion faculty and staff friends over for dinner and games.
Best College Search Tip: Start early! There is nothing worse than having to rush into a decision because you've waited until the last semester of your senior year to start looking at colleges. Give yourself plenty of time to visit colleges and get your questions answered so you can make an informed, not rushed, decision. Remember that the job of an admission counselor is to help students through the college search process. We're here to help, so take advantage of that! Lastly, visit, visit, visit!
