Trustee Jeff Weedman, '75, Discusses International Business with E&M Class

101712weedman2Jeff Weedman, '75, a former vice president of global business development for Procter & Gamble who has been tapped to serve as a P&G CEO on Loan to launch a regional innovation incubator called Cintrifuse, talked to a recent economics and management class about how corporations have the ability to be a global force for good.

Krauss, '12, Featured in The Detroit News

Spencer Krauss, '12

Gerstacker Institute member Spencer Krauss, '12, will graduate in December with a degree in economics and management. Part of his last semester will also involve quarterbacking the Albion football team to what the Britons hope is a second straight MIAA championship.

The Tipton, Mich., native was recruited by a number of NCAA Division I schools, including Stanford, where he threw passes alongside top NFL Draft pick Andrew Luck during his visit. A serious knee injury changed Krauss' plans, but the last several years have proven mutually beneficial for him and Albion. Krauss talks about his experience in an Aug. 29 Detroit News feature.

Caroline Dobbins makes a point while presenting a business plan with students from the Gerstacker Institute and Ecole superieur de Vente (SDV) during the Elkin Isaac Student Research Symposium in April.Albion College graduate Caroline Dobbins says her experience with Caster Concepts, her family's business in Albion, gives her an understanding of how a vibrant Detroit will change the state of Michigan. Her vision of a renewed, thriving and exciting Motor City helped her become one of 30 winners in the Challenge Detroit competition.

Dobbins, who graduated May 5 with an economics and management major and concentration in the Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management, will work for hiredMYway.com for the next year while sharing positive attributes about Detroit through social media, live presentations and contacts with mainstream media.
