Ford Institute Seniors Visit Washington, D.C.

Thirteen seniors from the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service visited the District April 6-9 as part of their Ford Senior Colloquium. The trip included visits with legislators, an insider's view of the Supreme Court and C-SPAN, and discussions and networking with alumni.

Mallory Ayotte, '16"Albion is my home! That enthusiasm and dedication is typical of Mallory Ayotte, a first-year student at Albion College and the newest Albion Community Intern, named through the College's Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service.

Reed, '16, Rewarded for Service in Public Arena

Andrew Reed, '16, is a member of Albion College's Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service
Andrew Reed, '16, got more civics lessons during his senior year at Swartz Creek High School than many citizens gain in a lifetime.

Now a first-year student at Albion College and a member of the College's Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service, Reed recently received three awards for the work he performed as an intern in Michigan's Legislature even before attending his first lecture at Albion.

MLK Convocation Marks 50th Anniversary of King's Visit to Albion

Voorhees College President Cleveland Sellers recalls his relationship with Martin Luther King, Jr., as part of Albion's MLK Convocation and Community Celebration Monday, January 28, at 7 p.m. in the College's Goodrich Chapel. The 2013 Convocation marks the 50th anniversary of King's visit to Albion in March 1963.
